Are you really suggesting that the parents in these two tragic case were neglectful?
Or have you misunderstood what we are discussing?
DirtPoorGuy said “…….we all know it is the truth, in most high profile cases of children being abducted or murdered the parents are usually neglectful of their children……”
I asked for evidence to support that assertion and you responded with the Shannon Matthews case (which was familily members) and then the McCann & Huntley/Carr cases (where the parents were blameless)
My personal view, McCann's were not blameless, leaving their children in the apartment whilst they went off for a meal, regardless of how many times they went back to check on them, I personally wouldn't of left the children on their own, but that is my own personal view.
Then can i ask you nicely to go goggle, if you want to find more information.Life is about give and take, if you can't give why should you take?0 -
And where is the parental blame in the Huntley/Carr case?
You previously said you work with child abusers, I don’t know whether I find that more scary or more surprising
No i didn't I said I worked, as in no longer.
now this is just getting silly..just agree to disagree,Life is about give and take, if you can't give why should you take?0 -
Scary how it can happen! At our primary we have to go into the school office to apply for a pass, issued on the day of the play, to allow us to take photos....... but this wouldnt help in the above case........! Bah humbug this year as our play is................Anthony and Cleopatra not very seasonal but am sure performed with a great deal of professionalism:rotfl:0

paparika - said i wouldnt post again - but - give it up girl. we have done what we can based on our experiences. they dont want to listen. I could site the case of one of my kids who was dragged out of caravan window - but that wouldnt mean anything to them. so - give it up.
its falling on deaf ears
its not stranger danger (although it does happen - who would let their kids sleep in a tent in garden after that little girl was murdered? or the kid who was dragged into a car- they think it doesnt happen) its close friends or relatives (but they dont want to hear the warning signs). but it wouldnt be THEIR close friends of course.0 -
But I’m sure they’ll make up for any perceived lack of professionalism (teachers fault!) with boundless enthusiasmalisong4567 wrote: »........ performed with a great deal of professionalism:rotfl:0 -
We sign that as well.
I guess if only one parents objects, it is enough to stop everyone taking photos?
we sign that for nursery too. tey dont allow us to take photos @ the christmas party as teyll take them and let us choose. but you never get shown the taken pics. only yesterday did i find in amongst some artwork chops brought home 2 photocopies [very dark] of chops at some party @ nursery when she was approaching 2 years old. she is 4 the week after next.
i take my camera most places and am always careful not to get other kids in the pictures even if in the background. this can proove a problem in playgrounds, but am yet to be met with an irate parent over this and have infact seen others start using their camera phones after seeing me. im blatant because no council do-gooder is going to stop me taking photos of my children in a public place. There's someone in my head, but it's not me0 -
I havent read through all the pages of this post, so this may have already been said but TBH !!!!!philes will get their fix like a drug addict wherever they can and no matter how trivial to them.
The majority of !!!!!philes dont actually need children literally to fulfill their fantasies and sexual desires. Most relieve themselves with photos, pieces of clothing, baby products/smells etc etc. You would not realise if a !!!!!phile had taken pictures of your children or not as they are clever and devious.
!!!!!philes have ALWAYS been there and they will always be there! Most are family members or close friends of the children.
All we can do as decent parents is train our children to be safe and to be open about anything and everything. Have safe words incase they are in a difficult situation that only you and them know etc etc.
Know your children!
DD's school dont allow pics and I have never allowed them to print pictures of DD for personal reasons. It's a shame that the innocense of taking a picture of your childs play has been taken away in todays society.

That is what the problem is. It is driving the generations apart. If I came across a child in distress, I would seriously consider ignoring them, because I feel that they would be at less risk of real harm than I would be of a fairly major Pdo accusation.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature.
