phia, go for it! Pretty sure I am.....
Here's some more queries (sorry) for the professionals.
1. Just had a conversation with an Avon rep, who normally gives her order direct to her ASM, but is not happy because of various problems. She has access to the internet at home and ideally would like to just input her own orders. Assume that's OK - yes/no or does she need some sort of code first before she can do that?
2. Long shot but is there any way I could recruit her as a new member onto my team i.e. assume she'd have to miss a few campaigns and then rejoin - yes/no?
Thanks in advance again for any/all input.Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

Is it worth ordering some Reversalist Eye samples to give away with Book 4? Not sure of the ages of some customers and only on 4th camp so not many orders to go for? Its on the front cover of the book and may also interest the customers in their 30's and 50's too? Not ordered any samples so far...0

wow aureol (i always think of nipples when i read your name but cant think of the ACTUAL word im thinking of lol sorry) what does your name mean?
/QUOTE]
lol, it wouldn't be the first time someone has referenced me as that, it is actually called areola, quite similiar so understand why people think that is what it means...:rotfl: had a few trolls trying to be clever using that.
it is the name of a ship and a particular type of train engine. Nothing I am interested in, just know someone who is, and it made for an unusual ID.0 -

I don't understand why this Rep is having to give her orders to her ASM? If she has internet access at home, she should have had her own account set up and shown how to use it. Otherwise she should be doing paper orders. Hmmmm..... anyway, yes she should be encouraged to input her own orders, so she can track them, etc, do creative ordering, read her own messages, see what's new on the website, etc.
She would have to leave Avon for 8 campaigns, and then could rejoin as a rep under your team. Not sure she would want to leave for that long?0 -

Thank you for that. The sticky notes are good for me and the avon pens would be a nice little 'thank you' in with the orders. The more organised amongst us (not me) may find the file useful. Please do not quote spam as this enables it to 'live on' once the spam post is removed.
If you quote me, don't forget the capital 'M'

Thanks (yet again!) aureol; yes, sometimes things are hard to understand. Think the lady took over someone else's round and was just told that's the way it's done.
She's had a lot of problems (possibly due to placing her orders so late i.e. she's still yet to put books out for the order I placed yesterday even though we're on the same campaign). She mentioned to me today that she's thinking of quitting; have promised to go up and show her how she can input her own orders online so hopefully that will help.Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

Believe it or not, not all SL's are bad SL's. Some of us actually help our team with queries instead of just telling them to contact Avon directly. I have phoned Avon a number of times on behalf of my team and asked for clarification or for something to be adjusted.
This poor lady, she's going to struggle to catch up to her current campaign. I have a rep who missed a campaign and is now behind one, due to the bad weather. I am going to suggest to her to skip the one she is behind on and just continue with her current one otherwise she will get confused.0 -
Get the impression she's struggling anyway - just spurs me on to want to be a SL and get a decent team going with support. Am told we have 50 reps in our town but just makes me wonder how many of those are struggling on their own when a bit of support would make all the difference.Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon

Hi MarsdenCuckoo
YOU can sign up your OH. I did this to achieve my first 5 to get my £50 bonus but I have requested his account to be closed as he doesn't like talking to our ASM and hates all the calls, etc, and while I was doing all the legwork and splitting our sales between the two accounts to make sure he hit MOV, I had to pay it from the sales and it was just too much for me. But if your OH like Lozza's does his own sales, etc and paperwork, it is a good idea.
QUOTE]
Yes my OH does do quite a bit - we split the work between us, it isn't just that he does his territory & do mine - as he works shifts he is off during the week while I'm at work, so during that time he takes & collects brochures for me & any other bits that need doing, he helps inputting the orders online, and helps with delivery orders (same as he did before he was a rep really lol), the only things he doesn't do (mostly as I won't let him lol), is check the delivery & bag the orders up (as he hasn't a clue what is what, he did it once and loads of people had the wrong stuff so I basically had to rebag it all anyway lol). If your OH helps out anyway - then definately nothing wrong in signing them up. They can get their own territory allocated to them, but you can split the work between yourselves. This is why I became a SL, as we wanted more territory, and the only was for OH to become a rep to. So it was a question of whether the asm sign him up, or I sign him up by become a SL.
I'll say what I always say when this question comes up - SL isn't easy, not always rewarding and you will probably be out of pocket for a while with it - but if you want a long term way of making some extra money then go for it, especially if you already have some people to sign up. During your first 2 campaigns of become a SL, your upliner (whoeever signed you up) will supply all the brochures & sign up packs for everyone you sign up. After that, you are paying for them (you do get brochures at PC price though which is good) - and you only get refunded for 40 brochures & a sign up pack when a rep places an order of over MOV. So if anyone changes their mind - you are out of pocket for brochures etc, as well as petrol etc. But - once you have a team of 5 reps placing orders (you need 5 people to order so that you can earn) then things are better - you will get a "hard core" of reps who are reliable (hopefully anyway lol) and will stay for a while. Things can be rubbish though at times - I've had people "stand me up" (not be in for our appointment and not answer my calls/texts - why not just say you've changed your mind:rolleyes:), decide to give it up 2 days before their order is due in, people go to debt etc etc - but I still enjoy it, which is why I continue lol. It isn't mega money by any means - I earn far more from being a rep, but then I only have a small team with not devoting much time to finding new reps with working full time. I'd give it a go though - as during your first 2 camps it won't cost you much, and you'll see if you enjoy it, and if it works for you.Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0
