  • Another thing...for anyone who has a personal sales leader website....do you have a photo of you on it? Is it a professional/business type one? Or one with you and your dog etc? lol. My AM said it would be nice if i have one on mine but as a mum who usually walks around in the rain im hardly ever looking lovely enough to have a 'nice' photo lol:o

AND for your SL avon account what would you say is the most useful thing on there? ie do you take notice of 'pauls office?' -by the way speaking of paul its been said that they are bringing out personalised avon stationary...ie business cards....:j:j maybe ill hold off re-ordering the vista print ones after my little incident and see what avon brings

can i ask why she wants to leave for a few weeks? If its the case of she has been signed up under someone but wants to be in your team then (according to my am) she will have to leave it 8 campaigns IF she just didnt place an order. (Not sure about if she officially resigned within 14 days)

If she didnt order and signs up again within 8 camps she is automatically signed up to the SL that signed her originally. Hope that makes sense. just a heads up x

It's not her that wants to leave - just that her account no. hasn't come through in time for her to place her order online i.e. before the deadline so she's left wondering what to do...... I thought maybe she would be better to resign and then reapply otherwise theoretically she'll lose out re. the SmartStart scheme (or whatever it's called). Sad thing is that she has an order to place, doesn't want to let her customers down so I wondered if it would be better for me to place it online as an additional order in my campaign and for her to resign and re-apply when she has longer to get her a/c no. through so she can start again...... Strange but true!

  • ahh thats a shame. Cant help you on that im afraid. couldnt she call avon and ask to start in the next camp or the SL (im assuming its you?) could do an online registration. That gives you the account number straight away. Thats what ive done for the majority of sign ups. but then it depends if youve sent off the contract or not x

When is her order due? As you have longer to submit, for example my order is due on a Tuesday and we have until 10am on the Thursday for orders to be in and they still count as on time which Gives you more time. It could be worth ringing the sales leader team and asking if you can email through a scanned copy of the contract and it be loaded asap, I've had to do that before.

  • Bexr - Just wanted to say I'm so sorry your leaving Avon. I would feel the same way though, I have come across a few reps in my area that are meant to only do F+F but seem to do an entire street. Thankfully though my SL has given me loads of houses and my husband has a large family in the area so am still doing ok.
I think its terrible that there is nothing Avon can do about reps who cover streets that they shouldn't I suppose at the end of the day they are getting there sales so are happy. Could you leave brochures/sign in a local shop/hairdressers/post office and canvass orders that way?

Lastly just want to say a huge thanks for the A5 newsletter you sent me, It looked brilliant and made my brochures a bit more eyecatching.

Yes online registration needs to be done before the contract is posted but although it generates an account number and a rep can register and save an order they can't actually submit any orders until the paper copy has been received by Avon, or at least a scanned copy as we had to do last year during the postal strikes. That's why I don't both doing an online registration, just post the contract and wait for it to be loaded, that way we know the rep has definately been accepted and with the new sma system we can see the credit limit. If you accidentally do an online reg wrong it can result in two account numbers for one rep which could be a pain to sort out.

Thanks for your input; I've just signed up to become a SL so still 'feeling my way'. The problem arose because my SL application hasn't yet registered and I was trying to help someone out without understanding the system so I got a bit tied up in knots.

All sorted now - thanks to my SL! :T

Thanks, yes, my ASM said the order could be placed later but I was wary about whether the delivery would still be as scheduled. As already posted, I've only just applied to be a SL and didn't realise that my appointment would take effect from the next campaign (assumed it would be effective from the date I applied) so the problem came because I was trying to put a rep's order in before I'd been confirmed as a SL! Doh!!

All sorted now - just cost me £2.50 to put in an additional order and a lot of stress today!:(

Glad it's all sorted! Yeah I had to pay the £2.50 too rather than wait a couple of weeks as I started as a sl just after submitting an order!
