charmingknitter, welcome to the thread and good luck with your avon business.

Did your ASM come to see you? She cannot do postal agreements, she has to physically come to your house and see you. She can post brochures to you but if she comes to see you, she can bring them with her.

A few of the ladies on here, did a short introduction letter with their book drops if they were stuffing rather than knocking, introducing themselves as the new avon rep, etc.

I think we get postal agreements as I live on the Isle of Lewis in the Outer Hebrides. I do all my body shop stuff over the phone as well and when I did usborne books I never physically met anyone from the organisation :) You get used to doing everything online and on the phone up here!!

    Hi charmingkintter

yes Lozza explained near the top that some ASM do postal sign ups but SL's have to go and see the person.

That's a shame, that no one ever comes to see you :(

    Hey everyone!

Well, it is with regret that after 2 campaigns I am resigning as an Avon Rep.:( *big sigh* I certainly don't want to resign, but unfortunately I feel I have no choice.........

Bex don't give up just yet. I have an idea. I'll PM you.

Thanks, yes, my ASM said the order could be placed later but I was wary about whether the delivery would still be as scheduled.

No it will still come on the same day, I've had a rep who has had her order held but it was freed up by the 10am deadline on the thursday, and it arrived as usual on the Monday. Not a good idea to make a habit of telling reps, but it is useful to know as of course everyone has emergencies that could prevent them from submitting on the right day.

Yes online registration needs to be done before the contract is posted but although it generates an account number and a rep can register and save an order they can't actually submit any orders until the paper copy has been received by Avon, or at least a scanned copy as we had to do last year during the postal strikes. That's why I don't both doing an online registration, just post the contract and wait for it to be loaded, that way we know the rep has definately been accepted and with the new sma system we can see the credit limit. If you accidentally do an online reg wrong it can result in two account numbers for one rep which could be a pain to sort out.

yes but at least with an account number they can submit the order and then it will just come late rather than not at all. happened to my rep last camp and his order arrived 3 days later. BUT the most obvious question here is why wasnt this rep signed up into the next camp?

Having read the pm from mc this morning it makes perfect sense. Most of the problem from not being loaded was of a result of mc not being tagged as a sl officially rather than any problem with her signing up. Had she been tagged then it would have gone through. You can sign reps up close to deadlines you just run the risk of the account not being loaded in time but if the rep is happy with that then no reason not to sign into the current campaign rather than the next one.

  • well ive now found out what they are sending me and wow it is a great offer! fullsize items of the anew ultimate day and night, elixir and eye contouring creams all for just £27!!!!!
  • regarding the animal testing someone on the Lush forum said this:

"They say they will not test on animals unless local laws force them to do so, which makes them really rather spineless. There is no way to know what that actually means - what do they test and what do they not. Its a nonsense.

I was trying to help someone else hit a target and earn a bonus but didn't realise that I didn't actually become a SL until the next campaign. I assumed that as soon as I'd signed my forms and signed up some newbies that I automatically became a SL - wrong! (Someone once told me never to assume anything as it makes an 'a s s' out of 'u' and 'me'! :o )

Thankfully my SL sorted it out for me. (I must learn to walk before I run! :rotfl:)
