Have used AVG for last year or so with no issues. See there is a new version out (v9) but have seen loads of postings telling of issues. Deadline for change was supposed to be yesterday, but my 8.5 version still seems to be working, although not sure it will continue to update virus definitions. Any harm in staying with this version for the time being?
This seems to apply to me also - have added updates this morning to my 8.5 no problem, and was not aware there was a version 9 out there - I have not received notification to update to 9 from 8.5. I assume it is still working ...
Recently installed AVC 9 and now computer is REALLY slow. Could this be the cause, and if so, what can I do, or should I change to another package? Am not in the least bit techie so don't even understand a fraction of earlier posts on this thread ,so "idiot's guide" would be welcome! Thanks
