    ok, still only downloaded 45mb in the last 15 mins, leave it running .thanks again, much appreciated.

    File hippo tends to be pretty fast for downloading ~ do you always have problems with your download speeds?

    Hi, Just finished it, 74mb, ages. Never had trouble downloading before, downloaded avast also, 36mb, also took ages.going to try and run avg now.I usualy download from computeractive, no problems.1st time on filehippo.saying that, comp seems a tad slow today for some reason.

    Just done a speed test, 2.6mbs, can get 4-5, varies, can go as low as 1, 2.6 is fairly average though, don,t you think?

    You might want to consider doing as follows first (If you try to install on an infected computer you could end up in trouble) ~

    Download MALWAREBYTES (Make sure you click 'DOWNLOAD LATEST VERSION')
    http://www.filehippo.com/download_malwarebytes_anti_malware/
    Open malwarebytes and goto UPDATE and click 'check for updates'. After its updated goto SCANNER and click PERFORM FULL SCAN then click SCAN
    Post the log COMPLETE here AFTER youve deleted everything it finds


    reboot

    Download HIJACK THIS (Make sure you click 'DOWNLOAD LATEST VERSION')

    Click DO A SCAN AND SAVE A LOGFILE (Takes seconds) then post the log so we can see whats running
    (do NOT do anything else with Hijack but scan and post the FULL log)

    Its not good, but its not too bad. So I seriously question why downloading those progs took so long

    Just downloaded avg as a test ~ took approx 1 minute on my 10 meg connection. So yours should have taken around 5 mins

    Don,t know, ran avg, malwarebytes, adaware today, nothing showing. any ideas

    can you please open malwarebytes and goto LOGS and post the WHOLE of the last log
