Hello everyone and welcome to all the newcomers:)

Still popping the pennies in the piggies. Woooooooooooooops had to remove £12 as DH wanted to buy a crate of beer he saw on special offer for Xmas. As my savings are for Xmas thought this might be ok:o. I will keep a note of it and add it in my total at the end and SORRY if I've broken the rules.

dippykitty, sorry to hear about your cat.

Sue How sad for you to have to put your dog to sleep. We had to do this about 17 years ago when our dear dog Ben became very frail at the age of 17. 17 years on, our sweet Rosie who we have had since we lost Ben and we are facing it all over again. she has become very frail, keeps having little strokes, has gone nearly blind and is deaf, she also keeps falling over. I hate the thought that we are going to have to make this decision all over again, but every day it feels like it is coming closer and in the end, we know we will have to make the right decision for her sake. Thinking of you.

23p for the pot today and looks like I may have a few extra quid to bank next time I'm in town but not counted it up yet as it's not an imminent trip.

Thanks Sparky. Have made a note of my number. I bank with Alliance & Leicester who own the Post Offices so cash goes straight into bank account.
Nice to see so many savers, it sure comes in handy at Christmas.;)

Hi all! our pot has been opened in prep for the wedding in 12 weeks! so i would like to declare our total now as £230! really proud! most ive saved in coins in my life hahaha!

I will be bk for the next challenge with a brand new pot! xxx

elizabunny, my heart truly goes out to you as, apart from the strokes, Sally was just the same as your dear Rosie, her arthritis was the really bad thing though so we just couldn't watch her suffer anymore. All the very best eliza, I'll be thinking of you. x BTW, no need to worry about your DH taking the money for the price of a crate of beer on offer, after all, it's very MSE!! We don't have any rigid rules eliza, I'd sooner you get the benefit of an offer.

Hi all,
thank you sue-uu for my no, I've decided not to count how much I'm putting in as I want it to be a surprise when I count it in December.
The pot already has a bonus in that we've been putting coppers in when we remember but we have no idea of the total but it's heavyish:D.
DP put money in out of his wallet yesterday and I'll be putting money in when I get home today
so fingers crossed it'll be a decent amount come december

You'd definitely do well in moving your cash from the ice bucket, too chilly to accumulate...it needs somewhere warm and cosy where it can huddle up and reproduce!
