    Morning everyone.

I am still saving, but don't have too much time spare at the moment.......what with other threads etc. Quite a bit gone into pot, but I don't keep count anymore, but its feeling very heavy. Hope you are all keeping okay.

One pound in the pot yesterday and two pounds the other day. Haven't done very well lately but have managed not to break into it which I thought I might have to as someone owes me a lot a lot of money and it doesn't look like I'm going to get it back any time soon!

  • only started today but sorted out a piggy bank from DD2 and rummaged around the house looking for loose change and found a staggering £9.47 which I have put into the pot! I would normally get my hair blown today so will add 53p and that makes the £10 that I would have saved!

Have been away and/or busy over the past week or so, but have today added £1.90 to the pot. Then, I added £30 in notes! I went as a delegate to the W.I. AGM in Cardiff yesterday, and was surprised to be given £30 to cover my expenses. So, as I had not expected it, it made sense to put it in the pot, which means my total now is at least £141.04!

(I started off without keeping account of what went in, and I suspect there was probably about £10 in it when I began to note the additions.)

  • Today decided to have a rummage to see what I had which could be turned into money. I bought a lovely bag in Accessorize a couple of months ago and the strap broke, so today I hunted out the receipt and will take it back and get my money back (£40 for the pot), also found some books which I had been meaning to sell (some Terry Pratchett first editions) so I will take them to the secondhand book dealer in Southport on Monday. Don't know if I'll get much but it'll be better than nothing and they are only sitting in my loft and it will all add to the pot! Put £5 note in tonight.

    Debt-free and Proud!
Hello all, Just to say unfortunately im out of the sealed pot challenge :((
Due to major issues i had no choice but to open my pot and buy food to tide us over for the next couple of weeks due to no income coming in. It literally was my only choice.
I had £64 in my pot and was gutted to have to spend it :((
Good luck everyone and enjoy the grand opening of your pots :D
Hopefully i will join next years and stick to it!
