Thank you for the warm welcome and my number (it should be in my signature below, if I did it right).

I have no particular target amount in mind, I just want to combine our new tighter budget with hoovering up of random change which just gets spent if left laying around the house :)

I'm going to make a money box with the children next week and start collecting money then.

Hi SummerHeat, oh, I do wish you luck with those little ones, they'll have a ball, not sure about you though! ;) Yes, your number's showing up perfectly. No need at all for a target, and the way you're saving it's pretty much the way of the majority of us. All the best with it.

Bonus! My ex (now friend) said that they still have the change pot from when we lived together, and as it was pretty much all my change, I can have it! Will be transplanted into the current moneybox...

    Hi all

My first 'proper' post on this thread. Popped £3.50 in change into the pot and eyeing up a big pile of change on OH bedside - Mmmm needs a good home I think!

Saving for Christmas and have no specific target but would like to use it for Xmas food & wine etc so the more I can save the better:). Can't easily dip into pot as it's one of those tins that you can only open with a tin - opener!

    Have a good BH everyone

Sparky, that list is so accurate mate.

    Have a good day.
