Due to major issues i had no choice but to open my pot and buy food to tide us over for the next couple of weeks due to no income coming in. It literally was my only choice.
I had £64 in my pot and was gutted to have to spend it(
Good luck everyone and enjoy the grand opening of your pots
Hopefully i will join next years and stick to it!

Don't worry about it savingmummy, thats what the pots are there for!
Don't feel you have to give up, just start putting some pennies in when you can again and hope things pick up for you soon. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

OK I would like to join in even though it is half way through the year.
I am also on NSDs so the cash in my purse might not change every day.
I thought I would 50p pieces and £2 coins in my pig.
It is a beautiful purple china pig that my sister bought me.

Oh Thanks for this! I will go and have a look now! Did a shop at aldi and then compared it to what the same shop would have cost me at tesco and it was £8.38 at Aldi, as opposed to £13.06 at Tesco so that's £4.78 for the pot today!Jane
