I hope everyone has had lovely weekends. A bit too much in the way of drinking on Friday night meant that yesterday was a bit unproductive for me...[/QUOTE]

You and me both babe - I've done nothing all weekend!:eek::eek:
    Save me from spending...

Totally decluttered my purse and handbag and decided to put all the coins I gathered into the pot, including £1 and £2. Total came to £13.12, so new total is £42.99

  • £2.95 yesterday, change from going to Tesco for baking potatoes and the £2.00 I should have paid for my lottery tickets, however I finished work way too late and missed the lottery cut off time by half an hour, hence quick tea of baked potatoes!

    £1.52 today.

No more pennies at all til payday on Wednesday so may be a little quiet for a few days!:(

My lovely piggie is getting heavier by the day though.:)

Hope everyone has a good week.

Added all of my spare coins except the £1's again today, oddly finding it more satisfying to do that than last year just adding the small coins.

My 9 year old found 15p earlier, as soon as he got home he said "I will put it in the TV fund mum" Bless him. :T I swapped him for 3 chocolate coins ;)

Sandy - how could you!"Bless him" you said when your dear DS put his finds in the pot - THEN - you go and SWAP him for just 3 gold coins!!! That's taking this saving lark just a tad too far!!! See if you can buy him back! ;)

I'm glad it's not just me that remembers freezing cold lino that "invited" you to get out of bed on bitter cold mornings. Were there no darn slippers back then?? No wash house for us sparky, you lot had it made in Liverpool and until tonight I'd never even heard of em! I remember crawling into bed with a hot water bottle and curling into a ball and trying to stay there all through the night. Thoughts of waking up and not being able to turn over and stay in the same warm spots were just a dream. Thank goodness for electric blankets! So much was "good" about my "old days", but some I'd never want back!

Great savings everyone, well done! :T A £1 in the pot for me yesterday.

Have a great week everyone, wrap up and keep warm....and keep saving!
