I lobbed £6 and some bits and bobs in today. I reckon there is probably about £40 in there and I (still) owe it £20 for my (almost) no spend week a couple of weeks ago.

I hope everyone has had lovely weekends. A bit too much in the way of drinking on Friday night meant that yesterday was a bit unproductive for me...

Hi everyone.

I'd like to play again this year! I've been doing it since January 1st. Last year I managed to save £56 I think... I haven't bothered to bank the money and it's sitting in a little pot in my kitchen. I'm using it to pay for things like the occasional magazine, or work canteen lunch. It's guilt free spending, because I saved for it.

This year I have decided to save 50p coins only into my sealed tin, to pay for Christmas next year. This past Christmas put me into the red for a while, and it's not an experience I care to repeat!
For the 3rd year in a row I am saving £2 coins. Each January they pay for my £120 car tax. The first year I did it, I saved £80 towards it. This year I got to £100! It makes a big difference and is something I now plan to do every year.

Thank you, we don't have a B&M here but my mum has one near her. I will send her, she will pay and I will put the money saved in my pot:rotfl:
