Part of the Furniture 1,000 Posts Name Dropper Combo Breaker
i went for the offer and at checkout it only stated the £25 M&S voucher. However, i had an online chat agent from who i was asking for advice as i went along. He confirmed that the iPod Touch offer is still available and if i came from the offer page then it will be honoured. He then went to ask a supervisor who confirmed this. He also said the 250gb would be supplied. I've saved the conversation so if they back off i've got proof. If they don't supply it i will cancel the contract, even though they will say it's within 12 months, but they would have broken the agreement by not honouring it in full.

Got mine today too! really am not keen on the iphone/pod touch series so am going to sell it CEX ([vvww.cex.co.uk/sell) are giving £87 cash or £97 instore credit (they sell for £130) but I've sold locally for £100 which as its still sealed is a decent deal.

Can't thank MSE enough for this deal as it is not like the "Freebies" you get with over-priced contracts (half-decent phone, free wii/ps3/360, £30+ contract).

The £25 voucher will come in handy though :) possibly a great gift for someone too..
  • Hi all,
first time post here and would realy appreciate you expertise?

I'm with Virgin and have the following Bundle:
    *tephone line rental £11.99
    *phone/TV/BB bundle saving £-9.50
    *Phone 'M'
    *BB 'M' £20.50
    *TV 'L' £12.50
    TOTAL £35.48

I originally signed up for the 3 for £30 and its increased every year so I though now its time to do something about it
I phoned the retentions department and after 25minutes of haggling was offered exactly the same package for £17.99. Not too bad I though but I wasnt offered any better TV package and no free V+ or V+ HD box, which most ofther hagglers seem to have acheived. I told them to hold this deal while I though about it. What should I say to get the extras I'm after?

    Many thanks in anticipation MoneySavers

  • I'm currently paying £24/month for telephone/broadband (excessive!) and am thinking about getting Freesat (as opposed to Freeview - will need one of them very soon). I wondered if Sky/Virgin were doing any good deals so I could get telephone/BB/digital TV package and get my satellite dish 'free' and maybe enjoy some HDTV too. Adding up the separate packages listed on main MSE article seems to come to £40/month which is way too much. Are there any better offers I've missed?
