i have just had a chat with a sky advisor via online chat and he said that the ipod wont show as its a moneysaving offer and not a sky offer so the ipod will not show in the basket for anyone.
He did state to me though that 'IPODOFFER' had been tagged against my order and he confirmed that it was still the case after placing the order.
Nothing told me there were no ipods left, so i am guessing it is ok. Miaght be handy if MSE peeps could confirm though!
Hope that helps.

HS1 - i've gone for same as you. How do you know you got an ipod?

As I live in a block of flats, to complete my order I had to speak to DAS (the company that deal with installations in flats in my area). They were able to see my order so far (and confirm that I would get the Ipod even though it wasn't showing for me in the basket). They confirmed that tthere were still ipods available when I placed my order and I would get one. As well the person at sky I was chatting to online whilst I placed my order confirmed they were still available and I would get one ... so hopefully it worked ... fingers crossed :)

Cheers for the info HS1.
I have just looked at my confirmation emails and none of them mention the ipod so i am hoping that it will happen. I may ring them and ask but not going to have time tonight so if anyone has any more info please let me know as i want that ipod!!
• Just rang sky, after getting through to the right dept (Apparently there are two different sales teams, one for new and one for existing)

The advisor couldn't see that it was the iPod deal and asked her manager, manager informed her the order had gone through and she told me the following:

£30 installation cost (non-HD subscription, but BBC1 HD, C4 HD and Luxe HD are free)
£18 pcm (Variety pack)
Free HD box
Ipod order is on there, within 30 days of paying first bill I will receive a voucher to redeem at currys/comet etc

Actually didn't mention the £25 M&S vouchers... hmmm

Good deal, infact not sure if the quidco/TC cashback deal (£120) was on par or better... Ah well c'est la vie!

I just rang and got told pretty much the same thing as Dommy.
The advisor told me the order has been tagged with 'ipodoffer' so it should be sent out 45 days after activation (e.g. what the terms say on the page). He said that the back office deal with that sort of thing so can only say that the order has been flagged. That ties in with what others have said here and what the live chat bloke told me yesterday-if the order is flagged then you should get one.
Fingers Crossed.
• I subscribed to Sky yesterday via the promo link after receveing Martins newsletter, in order to recieve the £25 M&S voucher and the ipod touch they charged me £30 for installation and £49 for the sky+ hd box (as I don't want the HD channels), I was happy with this and thus proceeded.

Anyway I logged on today to carry out the same transaction for a friend, the same offer is on however today the box is free, I called them to ask if they would refund the difference, at first they agreed then I asked if there was an ipod attached to the order and he seemed really sheepish. He told me he would cancel the order altogether and advised I was best off reordering?!

I then spoke to a Sky chat advisor, she told me the ipods were still in stock and she'd spoken to a few people who were moaning about the same thing! Anyway long story short, I cancelled the order placed yesterday (£79 one off fee) and submitted a new order today (£30 one off fee), you apparently have a one month cooling off period however once it has been installed I will be on the phone chasing delivery of the ipod touch and should it not be forthcoming I shall be cancelling for a second time and for good!!

Lastly I have just checked the same link again and the offer has changed for the third time, its now £49 for the box but free installation!?!!?

i ordered yesterday with free box and £30 set up fee as dont want hd pack. i just checked the link and it is still saying that when i look. i know there was an issue with mispricing (see a few posts earlier) initially so sounds like you were caught up in that.
I just wish someone could categorically state that 'yes, you will get an ipod'! From Sky or this website!

I’m having some issues on the Sky + Ipod offer advertised in the email….

Most in Sky haven’t the faintest clue what this is about… Even down to ordering, I went through a few pages of ordering and then when I got to the end no mention was made of the Free Ipod – although it did mention the M&S voucher.

I sent them an online message to question this and was given the reply:

Dear Mr Avery

Thank you for contacting Sky Help Centre regarding your ipod touch and m&s vouchers .
I have had a look at your account and this offer is only available if you choose to introduce a friend.
I can see you did not do this there for you will not get the ipod or the vouchers as you are getting your Sky+HD box free.

I then phoned them and they again confirmed this was a recommend a friend offer only. So I pressed them and mentioned the link I used and finally they said oh yes, we do have an offer on the system.

The guy said that it is on their system based on the date 16-25 March and the name “Money saving expert IPOD offer” and has marked my account as such.

Obviously whether I get it or not remains to be seen but its obviously caught their systems off guard.

If enough of us have problems , maybe Martin can put some pressure on Sky to honour the offer!

May this not be another Hoover and Free Flights issue!!

Best Regards
Andy

Finally I have some written confirmation:

Thank you for your e-mail regarding the offer you have signed up for.

Once your viewing is activated the ipod will be with you within 45 days of your viewing being switched on.

The terms and conditions are on the sit you have provided I suggest that you make yourself familliar with these.

Thank you for your e-mail

Kind regards
Michael

Just making people aware if they haven't read the small print.
After your first month subscription, you will automatically be charged for Sky Mobile TV at £6 a month unless you notify Sky during your first free month that you no longer wish to receive the service.

In the big writing it says "you can download ... Sky Mobile TV", which gives the impression it's an option. Just make sure it's not 'helpfully' already installed when you get your new iPod ;)

Hmm guess what I'm doing when I get my account activated...

As for the ipod touch being sent as a few members have been told or if it is a voucher? and if so can be used in the ipod touch deals (free £10-£15 voucher at itunes, docking station etc)
