Im not intending to buy a house anytime soon. Im not interested in getting into mountains of debt just to own a house.

Buying an affordable home and seeing a price drop or rise of a couple of thousand wont cause me any concern. Im not one of those that bought at ridiculous prices during the boom and i never intend to be in the same boat as them.

That doesn’t answer the question not many would worry about a couple of thousand what about 25% of value

Inflated relative to building costs and utility value of the land. These have not got up 300% in 10 years.

Stats are kinda usable to prove contradictory things over stuff like this - would prob need to compare like w like (esp considering the explosion in housebuilding during the bubble will have been more flats-oriented, plus a lot of conversions happening during same period)

    I agree but 300% when it's less than 200%
