No it`s not very nice calling someone who rents a loser. Not quite sure why they should be referred in such an unpleasant manner. A number of mates choose to rent. They wouldn`t stay mates long if I called them losers.
Boot on the other foot. If someone lost their job or through illness was slung out their home do they become named as losers. I certainly hope not.0 -

For some people, not for everyone. I have pruchased holidays, books, albums, gifts and various items that I've enjoyed for years and years and have would have been worth ten times more than I paid for them.
Stop assuming that everyone out there is completely materialistic, because they're not.0 -

And they wonder why we detest them so much.
Hoping for more job losses, just to get a house on the cheap.
Sick individuals.....
I used to frequent that website all the time, but its a little bit too hardcore for me these days.
Not nice to gloat at job losses.0 -

Renting is definitely not for losers, I'd bet there is many a *'homeowner'* who wishes they could trade down by giving 4 weeks notice if they lose their job, or maybe quickly move somewhere else for work related reasons, or are happy to let someone else foot the bills when things go wrong with the house.
* I use the word 'homeowner' loosely as many a homeowner, doesn't actually own it, the banks do.*0 -

I think I will be.If your basis of worth is in ''good'' and material rather than people you don't have to make an effort in relationships, in empathy, in understanding that while you think you are right you might not always be, that feelings can differ, that sometimes the other the other persons nees are more importnat, or sometimes its important to let the other person know not too forcefully your own needs are.
Yes, I'm going to be completely materialistic from now on.0 -

Apologies, I thought you meant people and stuff in general.0 -

Even if the 50% fall puts you in negative equity are you couldnt move if you had to.
You have to live somewhere so does HPI give you monetary wealth0 -

Almost anything you buy as a novelty shelf life of a couple of weeks, in that time you are excited about your purchase, you may even enjoy 'lording' it over others. Society will benefit hugely in the long term if prices crashed and then were pegged to wages by multiple caps, LTV caps and massive CGT on BTL.
It won't happen because greed wins in the end, but hey you can dream.
I wasn't talking about people who buy in general I was really talking about HPC forum. In my opinion its simply an investors forum mainly for people with money who would like prices to crash so they can get in on the BTL game.0
