Help! £40 to feed family for the month

With house hunting and wedding plans now in full swing, budgeting has also become a priority. I have a budget for the month. Last month I actually spent nearly £110 on food household and toiletires. I am trying to spend no more £100 this month. With some whoopsied meat i got on friday and a meal plan I know for sure I have enough food for evening meals until next pay day and 1 or 2 meals for next month. I am doing the remainder of the 100-day challenge on the DFW board with toiletries. I have enough eggs and tuna for lunches so will have to only really buy milk and rolls.
Meal plans are a god-send. I keep a note of the meal portions I have in the freezer. As I really enjoy cooking when I have the time, I batch cook from scratch when I can. I hope to have change this month, if I do it's going in to the bridal kitty for treats nearer the wedding next July!!:T

At the risk of sounding sarcastic, I don't think it's going to make much difference that your gf is vegetarian. You're not going to be eating meat on that budget!Mortgage started on 22.5.09 : £129,600Overpayments to date: £3000June grocery challenge: 400/6000
