With house hunting and wedding plans now in full swing, budgeting has also become a priority. I have a budget for the month. Last month I actually spent nearly £110 on food household and toiletires. I am trying to spend no more £100 this month. With some whoopsied meat i got on friday and a meal plan I know for sure I have enough food for evening meals until next pay day and 1 or 2 meals for next month. I am doing the remainder of the 100-day challenge on the DFW board with toiletries. I have enough eggs and tuna for lunches so will have to only really buy milk and rolls.

Meal plans are a god-send. I keep a note of the meal portions I have in the freezer. As I really enjoy cooking when I have the time, I batch cook from scratch when I can. I hope to have change this month, if I do it's going in to the bridal kitty for treats nearer the wedding next July!!:T

put potato in a bowl add a dash of milk(or cream cheese if spare)
    S&P
    knob of butter
    Finely chopped onion(or spring onion)
1 or 2 rashers of bacon sliced finely and fried till crispy
1 de seeded and chopped tomato(optional)
1 handful of finely grated cheese
Mustard(optional)Quantity depends on personal taste avoid English though
mix well then divide back into potatoe skins (will be overflowing)
put in oven for 10 to 15min to warm through or blast in the micro.

At the risk of sounding sarcastic, I don't think it's going to make much difference that your gf is vegetarian. You're not going to be eating meat on that budget!
