Re the Woking Boots store, I find them to be rude in there anyway!

I went in last week to use some of my vouchers and I went to the Indian lady who is always on the tills (avoid her she isn't the politest lady I have ever come across) and she read every single one of my vouchers carefully and looked back at everything I bought. She used them all cos I had bought correct items, but I had handed her a '75 extra points' coupon when you spend over £10 which she took, but then when I handed over my double points coupon she binned the other one! Obviously I would have preferred to use the 75 points coupon! She didn't even say thanks or bye just dumped my card on the side and continued to look bored!!!!!

(In addition to that she handed me back my Bourjois £2off voucher without saying anything until I pointed out that the lipstick I had bought was correct. She just grunted and scanned it begrudgingly!)

Definitely an asset to Boots customer service!! :rotfl:

Found this really funny and what you said Mrsw as I go into the woking store and I know just the assisstant you are talking about. Ages ago when there was 100 pts for some range and the soaps were 65p I bought loads and she called over another assisstant and then the manager as she was so concerned that I was getting so many points! I did get them all though so it didn't matter.

I have found Guildford Boots really good in the past for their clearance type bargains, though last week in Woking I got a r/c car for £3 in Woking and the 2 assisstants on cash desks (who were very nice!) went and got one each, so I expect they are sold out now!

Yesterday I tried to exchange some batteries I had bought at Woking Boots. They wouldn't allow me to do the exchange without the original receipt. Apparently, it's new Boots policy.

Oh no! I have a few things that I have been meaning to exchange and have misplaced the receipts! Has anyone else been able to confirm this new policy? How terrible.

To all those Woking shoppers - it is a shame that we have an SA like that! I don't let it put me off though, I just stand in the queue hoping that I don't get her till!! I feel better knowing that it wasn't just me she was being stroppy too! It just makes me more determined to get more points!

Write a letter to customer services or phone them!!! I was served badly ones by a checkout girl. She did the same - checked every coupon and every item against it in my bag, which she already packed. I felt humiliated as if I am stealing. I also was overcharged for one item which I noticed only at home. I wrote to them and soon I recieved an appology from them with £10 giftcard.

I usually go to the photo counter as the SAs are quite good there. I only went to Mrs Misery as a last resort.

Hmm, the plot thickens. Today I went into Staines Boots to return the same batteries WITH the receipt. They did refund, but also seemed quite happy to exchange without receipt! Looks like maybe it's just the Woking store policy.

Oh no, this is bad news! I've just been bought loads of stuff from Boots for my birthday that i dont want and i was going to exchange them for something i did! At the end of the day i dont have the receipts as they were gifts, its not like im going to ask for my money back :( Im not sure what is happening with Boots but they seem to be tightening up on all sorts at the moment. I think banning exchanges without receipts is unpractical (ie. received as a gift etc), i mean other stores have no problems with it

Anybody know what the new policy is?

Did you pay on your card? .. Wait for it to show on your Online bank Statement .. Print out a copy and take the things back with that as a Proof of Purchase ... I have done this a couple of times in Emergency and it worked for me :D

Hi there. No, i didnt pay for them at all - they were presents from friends. I dont want to be rude and ask for the receipts (i would never do that!) and anyway i should imagine they have binned them by now. Looks like i'll have to ebay them lol
