i think you should return the gift if they have asked for it, it's nice when they don't ask and you get to keep it, but as you are returning the item i would say they are perfectly within their rights to ask for the free gift back.

    Hi,

anyone give me advice before I go to Boots ....

I bought the No.7 suncare 3 pack and used it on holiday last wek. It does say do not come in contact with fabric. However all my Tshirts have been badly stained round neck and top of arms. I was reasonably careful and did not use too much cream. Really annoyed at ruining 4 tshirts.

I've never had this problem with other sun creams I've used. Anyone else had same problem ?

Would I be able to get refund ?

    Thanks Anne

Hi i dont know if this is in the right place. i bought a face cream in the no7 range on satruday and asked the SA if i could return item if unwanted (as it came free with no7 gift). So i went in today to return cream (was £16) and assistant said i cud not return as cosmetics... i thought creams were not classed as cosmetics?? Is this true. anyway i argued my case sayin i had been asured i could return (they would not believe me but i had made sure it was certain it was returnable otherwise i would not have bought it) , so after much deliberaion she relented, sayin that her job and her mortgage was on the line as opposed to a poxy £16 i would lose if they did not let me return (this annoyed me as im a student and should not have to feel crap because i cant do without £16!) Anways... she then said i needed to haev returned the no7 gift aswell as it was only given because i had bought the cream, i did not have this with me as i had read somewhere that you did not need to return the free gift as it was a GIFT and had no cash value... is this correct?? I jus said i would return next monday as i had work committments until then. Should i argue it out to keep the No7 Gift or jus let them have it? Thank you.

sayin that her job and her mortgage was on the line

    ???

This is so unnecessary. Why do they carry on like this. This really  me....

I would just try a different store.

I would give customer services a call. (you can find the number in post 2) They are normally quite good with complaints like this.

    Hi
Took a trek into Boots today and found out they have a new voucher offer starting today PLUS got a great rimmel offer.
NEW VOUCHER- spend £10 and get a dual voucher for £5 off NO.7 or ruby & millie cosmetics only ( according to voucher ) plus it has a second part- £ 2 off Bourjais or Maybelline.
Pretty good voucher with £7 off in total and you cant go wrong with cosmetics.Valid till 18/07
RIMMEL- I bought a new eyebrow pencil £2.99 and got a free new rimmel lipstick Infinite colour.
If you buy ANY rimmel product you get a free Infinite lipstick ( it has a lip gloss at one end and lipstick at other. Says it has 10 hours colour and gloss. Very like the no.7 new one ) It is worth £6.99. As rimmel sell a lot of cheaper products like pencils, sharperners , nail varnishes etc a good offer .
At last some light in the Boots tunnel !!
