Does anybody know if Boots still do the trial packs of Huggies swimmers? I think they were around 78p, but i cant seem to find them in any large or small store near me?

the larger stores seem to stock them but you can get them in Tesco or Asda....Asda have a pack of ten for £2.50 on offer at the minute.

i know this is off topic so tell me if i need to go elsewhere but i was just wondering if someone could help me. -

i bought some hair straightners in october 2005, they are the nickyclarke gift set ones for £80. i bought them from boots.com and they were really good for a while until the ceramic coating started coming off even though i regularly cleaned them. i returned them to the store in march 06 for a straight swap which they did fine, however the same problem is occuring again already and i want to return them to the store for a refund on my card so i can buy some different ones from the boots website. i phoned my local boots who say that this should be fine but she didnt sound so sure so i am wary of going straight in and asking for a refund. it will be the second time returning, i have the reciept from the online order and i am still well within the 12 month guarantee.

do you think that they will give me the refund? i hope so because if i order the new ones online then i can get a much better deal ie. discounts, extra points etc

thankz in advance if any1 can help me

in response to my earlier post above. i went to boots who duely gave me a refund after much deliberation convincing them that i WAS allowed to get an exchange at a store if i wanted. they swiped my debit card and gave me a refund receipt saying i would get £80 put back on my card. this was on saturday. i expected it to be credited straight away to my balance (not my available balance but at least the balance) but it wasnt. so i thought it may take until today to go through but there is nothing still gone in. does anyone know how long it takes? i am worried that it wont go in and i will have to somehow convince them that i havent been refunded

Dunno if ive posted this in the correct place but here i do - went to boots in Mayfair on Saturday and brought the neew Gillette Vibrance for women razor (like the mens mac 3 - its vibrates zzzzzzzzz) it was reduced from £8.99 to 5.99, went back to hotel and opened razor, found inside a voucher for £1 off the shaving gel and £2 off the blades, so trotted back to boots and brought them, a pack of 4 blades were reduced from £8.90 to £5.93 plus the £2 off = £3.93 and the shave gel was reduced from £3.25 to £2.16 plus the £1 off = £1.16, i also brought the toni and guy heat protector spray which was 3 4 2 and got triple points!!! So i had £37.61 worth of things for £22.06 AND triple points - woo hoo!!
MSE has changed me for the better!!
    DD1 arrived 15/5/11, ]

How do you guys know about all these different websites!!!!

If you want a code for any site just google the company name and the words 'discount' and 'code'. It usually works.

They can take four days or so to go through; I wouldn't start to worry until a week has gone past. Just don't lose the receipt!

I once returned an item to Home base on a Saturday it showed on my account on the Thursday or Friday.

Upstairs at Boots, on the pharmacy counter (yes, you think you're safe there dont you?) handed over another 200 point coupon plus wipe to boot-faced SA (d'geddit, BOOTfaced, lol). No points went on receipt. B-F SA :"No, I didnt think you'd get them for THAT". Oh, I said innocently, it does say ANY item. B-F SA: "Yes, but that's not a proper item, it's just a SAMPLE"
I refrained from argument. I'll just take my receipt back on a saturday to one o' they nice saturday assistants :rotfl:

Yous should ask SA: samples usually are free, aren't they? :D

Some boots will have them - mine still does but beware if you do buy them..
They've been around that long now that the coupons are mostly out of date - the one in my pack was and secondly if you're doing like I did and only buying them to use the 100 points coupon from the parenting club mailing( I was going to keep the coupon myself to use in Tesco and pass the swimmers onto a friend) it wont work, I had to ask to have the points added on and they wouldnt do it because it wasnt a full sized pack - despite the coupon saying 100 points when you buy ANY pack of Huggies Little Swimmers!!

I did email huggies though about the out of date coupons and they sent me a £1 one in the post.

Hi i dont know if this is in the right place. i bought a face cream in the no7 range on satruday and asked the SA if i could return item if unwanted (as it came free with no7 gift). So i went in today to return cream (was £16) and assistant said i cud not return as cosmetics... i thought creams were not classed as cosmetics?? Is this true. anyway i argued my case sayin i had been asured i could return (they would not believe me but i had made sure it was certain it was returnable otherwise i would not have bought it) , so after much deliberaion she relented, sayin that her job and her mortgage was on the line as opposed to a poxy £16 i would lose if they did not let me return (this annoyed me as im a student and should not have to feel crap because i cant do without £16!) Anways... she then said i needed to haev returned the no7 gift aswell as it was only given because i had bought the cream, i did not have this with me as i had read somewhere that you did not need to return the free gift as it was a GIFT and had no cash value... is this correct?? I jus said i would return next monday as i had work committments until then. Should i argue it out to keep the No7 Gift or jus let them have it? Thank you.
