jaymac wrote:I went in to buy a camera today, £99 on the web site but it doesn't say "online only" so I assumed it would be the same price instore but it was actually £109. SA checked with somebody and said that was the correct price...I wanted to buy it with my points so it looks like I'm out of luck unless anyone else knows any better?
order it from the website. when you get it take it to the store and ask them to refund it to the card you paid with and buy it back at the same time using points. you would need a manager but I usually find that they dont have a problem with it as long as the store has the item.0 -
I took a rimmel single 'shimmer' self-tanner to the register, to use to get my 'infinate lipstick' for free (among other items). the lipstick wasn't scanning and the lovely SA just put it in the bag for me, without a word. ah bless!0

I think I've worked out the best use for the £5 No7/Ruby & Millie voucher... two make up brushes (one eye liner £5, one mascara brush £3.50), get £5 off with the voucher... and get 500 points for buying 2 Ruby & Millie products! Worked a treat for me today - and bumped up my points total enough to pay for the Benefit Bad Gal eye pencil I've had my eye on!
By the way, I've got 2 advantage cards (naughty me) - one gave me a med trial product and a pack of wet ones; the other just the trial size. And both said I had to make a vitamins purchase to get my free cod liver oil. Boo!
Ooh, and the other day, the machine invited me to join the Boots Health Club, so I punched in my details, including email address... and that evening I got an email saying "thankyou for joining the parenting club..." Oh well, if they must send me a little book of treats, who am I to complain - it's not like I've purposefully duped them (well, not on this occasion anyway ;-D)
Got something in the post today from Boots, saying I'd spent more than £200 in points in the last year - wow! Must save them up for something useful, rather than frittering them away on eyeliner...0 -

I got one of these mailings last year and like you decided to stop frittering my points on small items and so far in the past year I've managed to get an ipod nano, a big bottle of chanel no 5 eau de parfum all from taking up Boots point glitches. Set your sights on something and its amazing how quick the points can add up especially if you go to the machine and work out the best deals. Beware though I have a cupboard full of boots products especially the everyday indulgance handwash when they paid me to take it away earlier this year (no doubt I'm not the only one):rotfl:0 -

My mum also thinks its great and as shes having a day off tomorrow guess where we'll be going? However my dad loves it when I turn up with a receipt that just doesn't add up you know the ones where you spend a couple of quid but save maybe £20 and get more points than spent. Don't you just love Boots:p0
