katzinthehouse wrote:thanks to you and peanut pie and saving mad! i will go in store tomorow, and see if i can find it, thanks! is it priced at 9.99 but going through tills at 4.99??
Yes, it goes through with the voucher (which says £5) even though it is £9.99. I took mine to the photographic counter (nice male sa) and bought some other items at same time to 'disguise'. He still noticed the voucher was for a different amount but I just said .. I've had one of these vouchers before and it is accepted. He tried it and said 'oh - well thats good then'
If worst comes to worst and SA wont even try scanning ... just make sure you get your voucher back and try again another time/another sa ... it should go through fine.
Good luck!:)0 -
shetitasatic wrote:yesterday, among other things I bought the Smooth naturally shave oil - priced at £4. It went through the till at £2.66 PLUS I used the 200 pts voucher from the ACM - so it actually 'cost' 66p!!
I got a 300 point voucher for the Smooth Naturally range and bought the same thing. The whole Smooth Naturally range were 1/3 off introductory offer. So I paid £2.66 and got 300 points. Nice. I just noticed that I didn't get the normal advantage points for the £2.66 though, only the 300 bonus points. Is it something worth calling CS about? Hm... ten points.
I haven't had the free Med product or Cod Liver oil though.'Everyone loves to read but it can be a real nuisance when you lose your place. Here's a solution. When you finish reading a page, just tear it out. You'll save money on bookmarks too!' -- Amanda's Handy Hints, Amanda Keller. :cool:0 -
Hello all,
I went in to Boots today and purchased a Rimmel eye liner for 2.99 (that I use all the time anyway) then scooped up one of the free lippies. I was really chuffed until I arrived home , looked at it and realised the tip of the brush had colour on it (in the clear gloss bit) so had already been used!!!!!
Ahhhh!1:o .
Am going to return it tomorrow but where do I stand on this one???? As item was free do u think they will still replace it...??????
Often they are funny about you returning make up anyway!!!
Hope they will change it or its fit for the bin!!!
Hope I don't meet darling  sa from hell like Kylie!! (Poor u btw!)0 -
Just a thought if you don't want the Ruby and millie stuff. I got 150 points from the acm on no7 glow lipstick that was £8.50, so not bad with points back. Got it with the £5 voucher. If I had stopped to think about it i would have got something else as there is still 3 for 2 on no7 and made it up to £10. Greater planning is required0

There is loads of ruby & millie cosmetics reduced by centre tills upstairs at Lakeside Thurrock.0

I went into my local Boots today where they had Lancaster Pre-Sun reduced from £18 to £9. I also had a voucher from the AC machine for 650 points when you purchase any Lancaster product. They are also advertising 500 points when you purchase any L'ster Sun stuff on the shelf edge.
But when I had paid, I noticed on my receipt that no extra points had been added so the assistant put 650 on manually. I still didn't get the 500 points shown on the shelf edge, so do you think these should have been added too? Would it be worth phoning AC CS and taking it up with them?
Don't want to be too greedy but if they are advertising the offers....Sexkitten

poorcat wrote:I think I've worked out the best use for the £5 No7/Ruby & Millie voucher... two make up brushes (one eye liner £5, one mascara brush £3.50), get £5 off with the voucher... and get 500 points for buying 2 Ruby & Millie products!
Do you need to have a voucher to get the 500 points? I didn't see any signs up advertising points for R&M when I was in Boots yesterday.'Everyone loves to read but it can be a real nuisance when you lose your place. Here's a solution. Just called Boots Advantage Card hotline. They advised me to go back to the store and ask them to add the points to my card. The CS assistant explained that they don't know what each individual store's offers are. Is this the norm? I was expecting them to add the points for me over the phone!Sexkitten

I went to Boots today and the voucher that I got out of the ACM didn't go through at the till and because there was not a manager I had to go to another Boots. It was the voucher for the 2 eyedrops, and I was expecting to get 200 points for each one of the items, but when they manually entered it they only gave me 200 for BOTH. I queried this and they re-read the voucher and said that it was only 200 per transaction. I didn't want to argue, but when these scan, do give you a total of 400 points? Is that right? Should I contact CS? I'm sure one of you Boots' tarts will have all the answers!
Thanks

This happened to me too yesterday with the eye masks. I got 400 points put on manually. However, I intend to return them and say that i thought it was one big eye mask not separate ones. If you got the eye drops return them and say you had an allergic reaction to them.Just about to give up!0
