Boots Grabbit Bargains part 2

Yes the voucher says only valid for one x 200 pts but it was going through with each product. So when you bought the two lots with one being half price, it was giving 400 pts. However this was a glitch and you are not entitled to get 400 pts, just 200. It was just the way the tills worked. Hope it still is or maybe they have twigged it.There are three ways to get something done; do it yourself, hire someone or forbid your kids to do it.0

No voucher - it was just signs up saying buy two of R&M cosmetics (also a few other cosmetic brands) and get your 500 points. It was quite a big, city centre, branch of Boots, though, maybe these branches have different offers0 -
milk wrote:I got one of these mailings last year and like you decided to stop frittering my points on small items and so far in the past year I've managed to get an ipod nano, a big bottle of chanel no 5 eau de parfum all from taking up Boots point glitches. Set your sights on something and its amazing how quick the points can add up especially if you go to the machine and work out the best deals. :rotfl:
You've spurred me on - I'm going to save up my points for an ipod. Will be interesting to see how long it takes...0 -
pdoff wrote:is the 500 points automatic or do u need a voucher, & if so where from please? does anyone know if the voucher is for 1 item only? if u got 2 brushes at £3.50 would it just take £3.50 off or would it let u have them both for £2 plus the 500 points? does anyone know or do i need to top my phone up to get the voucher & try it? sorry for all the questions!
They're good quality brushes, but very long handled, which is annoying, as they don't fit in any of my make up bags
The £5 one is an 'eye liner', but to be honest, I'm just going to use it as a normal eyeshadow brush, it'll be fine' there's the smudger (very useful but I've already got a similar one) for £4.50, then the mascara brush for £3.50. All the others are over £5.
The 500 point offer does cover quite a few other cosmetic brands (mix and match) - Hard Candy I think, possibly Urban Decay, so there may be other options (although not to use the £5 voucher against).
I think the SA noticed the 500-odd points against a £6-odd spend (I also spent the £2 Bourjous voucher on a £5 product, and got a free Med sample at the same time) - she gave me a bit of a look along with my receipt0 -
The voucher says 'save £5 on colour cosmetics No 7 and Ruby and Millie' and overleaf it says 'This voucher entitles the holder up to £5 off No 7 and Ruby and Millie colour cosmetics... excludes gift sets... only one voucher can be redeemed per transaction in store.' It doesn't say £5 off one product only, so if you didn't get £5 off the lot you'd have a case for arguing that you should as per the wording on the back.
Of course, the SA could possibly say that a brush isn't a 'colour cosmetic' so who knows what may happen.'Everyone loves to read but it can be a real nuisance when you lose your place. Here's a solution. When you finish reading a page, just tear it out. You'll save money on bookmarks too!' -- Amanda's Handy Hints, Amanda Keller. :cool:0 -

grimelda wrote:I just noticed that I didn't get the normal advantage points for the £2.66 though, only the 300 bonus points. Is it something worth calling CS about? Hm... ten points.
I remember the good old days when you got the normal points and the extra points... that was great! :cool:0 -
Same as traceya 89. I went into the Durham Boots, same thing happened to me. The boots voucher didn't scan at all, so official type person put them on manually. When I queried the 200 points she said it was per transaction and not each lot of eye drops. So unless the voucher scans the same will happen to others. Look out for free minature med collection voucher too along with free pack of cod liver oil (30) capsulesHe who laughs last thinks slowest.
I wished the buck stopped here as I could use a few.
