Zippy - good luck with the interview. I tend to gabble when I am nervous so am always trying to keep that in check in interviews
Be yourself and remember this is an opportunity for you to see them aswell rather just feeling like you are the one on show.
Tiredmum - very sorry about your pooch xxxx Hope little dog doesn't miss his mate too much.
Bargainbird - Hope your poorly throat is better soon x Loving the idea of Spike chewing the edges of the tables at toddler group :rotfl:

Will give H a hand with it tonight when the kids are in bed.

Pleasant evening everyone - can't wait for Flashforward although it's the "mid-season" finale  which is code for the US are taking a break because it's holiday season (I assume) so we have to.I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knife

I taught myself last year, and it's quite easy to learn

Tired Mum - so sorry to hear about your furry friend. Hugs xxI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -
Evening all! (Nope, no idea who Dixon of Dock Green is, obviously I am too young
)
Went to the doctors to get signed on for work, but got signed off for another two weeks. Apparently I have to avoid stress
I have yellow sticker plums & bramleys, I am thinking chutney perhaps... never tried before, but it seems I have the time to experiment..
Can anyone tell me what snowman soup is??
Thriftlady, I'm coming for tea too, I'm sure Floss can pick me up.. how come your "rushing out so a fast tea required" sounds so good and all I would have come up with is naan bread pizza and coleslaw?
I may have missed it, but may I ask where did you get your pullman tin, as I now have serious loaf tin envy?
Called H2B earlier after the docors news, he knew I wanted to go back today so kept saying, oh dear.. later he texted, "can I smell cake?" (He knows I bake when upset, to relax etc.. ) So he is coming home to a seed cake
On the plus side, I have had the very first pictures of my wedding dress which is being made in China. I'm so excited :T
You have all inspired me to rummage out my crochet hooks too, that star garland looks like it will be fab.
I hope all goes well for Zippychick don't forget an interview means they think you will be right for the job, make sure they are right for you too as others have said.
Hugs for those that want them.0 -

I loathe it. He is always on it, either on Facebook, work emails etc. Its the first thing he does in the morning and the last thing he does at night
I've spent a lovely:rolleyes: afternoon cleaning candleholders, and I'm now absolutely [STRIKE]waxed[/STRIKE] whacked!
Mr LW has just phoned to say he's on his way home, so better go get the veggie stew organised.

Can anyone tell me what snowman soup is??
The thread for snowman soup is here, basically it's hot chocolate, choc chips and marshmallows in a cone with a candy cane to stir, and a tag with a rhyme. I made them last year and they went down a storm
Squares knitted for my throw ~ 90 (yes!!! I have finally finished it :rotfl: )Squares made for my patchwork quilt ~ 80 (only the "actual" quilting to do now :rotfl:)0 -
Evening all
I've not read yet so hugs to all who need/want them
I had a fab day, took my young people powerboating
in Pembroke, it's such a brilliant day out! It was absolutely freezing out on the water though, even with lots of layers. It was an early start and 3hour round trip drive for me so I'm exhausted. I only went out on boats in morning as I didn't want to be too cold and tired for journey home. So this afternoon I just hung out in our sister office down there drinking coffee
No plans for tonight other than zapping a jacket spud in microwave then collapsing on sofa.
Have a good evening all

Small problem being that she doesn't know any.

Best of luck Zippy. Your personality will shine through but try to keep the swearing to a minimum.

Sorry about your dog Tired mum. It's an awful thing to go through. xxx
Happy Birthday Squiggly . Wish you would post more often.
Sounds like a great day Flutterby.
Haven't had a chance to post all day. OH took the day off and we tackled some jobs around the house together. So the pulley is fixed, the front wall and gateposts are washed down, the carpet is shampooed and the kitchen and living room are deep cleaned ready for our guests at the weekend. He has been very lovely and useful today and even brought me flowers earlier. No, I don't know what he's done either.
:rotfl:
It was a stunning day but despite the bright sunshine, it never went above 0 degrees all day:eek:. The view of the snowy mountains across the loch was fab though.
Brownie night tonight so the girlies and I had pasta and HM sauce and OH had an omlette. OH has gone to pick them up and I am having a coffee break.
Tonight I need to get on with mending the Christmas stockings and finishing my Christmas garland. Also have to sort out a load of books for the school Christmas Fair.
Hope everyone has a lovely evening and Happy St Andrew's Day to anyone who celebrates it.
Haribo x0
