Sistercas I take 2 different preventers  and have pain killers too but the odd one still gets through. Usually around that time of the month so I can't decide if I'm looking forward to the menopause, if the migraines go completely, or dreading it in case they arrive to stay with no hormones at all there  :rotfl:0

Morning All :hello:,
Wet, windy and downright miserable here this morning! It's still not even light - is the sun going to make an appearance today?!
Busy busy weekend in the Lowesy household. I had my first ballet class in 10 years of Friday night! Surprisingly, I wasn't as rubbish at it as I expected to be and I enjoyed it immensely. Will definitely be going back next Friday.
Did some Christmas shopping on Satuday morning and then back home to catch up with my brother and his DD2 (5 months and very very cute!) Had no pain from the dancing the night before, was just a little stiff. Went out on Saturday night with some dear friends who I haven't seen in ages. Must admit to having had a couple of drinkie-poos and being a bit silly
Sunday morning, I wake up and can't move!!!! Delayed reaction from the dancing on Friday night. DH was in hysterics with laughter as I tried to walk down the stairs the bu99er! I was a little hungover ("a little" of course being code for "a lot") and had to cook the roast for DH, my parents and my 2 DSD's. Managed to get through it ok though and it was lovely.
So tea tonight is bubble with the cold meat left over and a fried egg - yum! Need to catchup with the weekend thread so will just give everyone a huggle and say I'll be back later xxSometimes that mountain you've been climbing is just a grain of sand,

Good Morning all.
Today it's looking OK so far, but I suspect the rain will arrive before long. Still blustery though.
I have to go out in a bit for Physio appointment. Arm isn''t any better so will be interested to hear what my chap has to say.
Over the weekend got on with the new covers for the IKEA Poang chairs. Not looking bad so far, but dh not sure if he likes the fab enough for me to do the sofa as well. Hmmm. I already have the fabric, got a 28m roll! Not sure how that will resolve itself. He might just have to get used to it!
It might look better when he feels well again, has had a terrible cold and not going to work today. He feels bad as he feels he should be there, but he's not up to the 2 1/2 hour drive setting off at 6am to start the day. He just called his boss, who said take as much time as he needs, but I think he will be back tomorrow. He's gone back to bed.
OS? Well Monday morning shirt ironing got done yesterday, just a few bits left. WM needs to go on. Made a strange loaf yesterday, not sure how this will be, used up some spelt flour and some rye flour, but think I had too much liquid, it's sort of crinkled and gone down. I have chilli out of freezer for DH & DS and am using some stuff up to make some risotto that I shall have, not that keen on chilli really. DS too remainder of soup and remainder of potato wedges to warm up for lunch so the fridge is looking nice and clear. Lots of eggs so may have them for lunch and boil a couple for ds lunches.
Other than that, usual housework and maybe the baking I still didn't do.
Shall continue with chair covers I think and as dh is around to take ds to rehearsal, means that I can get to sewing club tonight. Missed last time as SAD was bad. Had a bit of a relapse yesterday morning, but not too bad now.
Hope you all have a good day and will catch up with you later."Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad"

Morning all.
Was SO windy last night, the howling outside kept waking me up, so I'm tired today.
Just ordered some Christmas presents from amazon, my mum wanted a "chunky brown teapot", so found a 6 cup pot for £12.55 which I thought was good. Wouldn't know where to start in the shops, as I don't do hot drinks, so ordering from the comfort of my own home is a bonus! Also ordered a dvd DD put on her list to Santa. She has also put a microphone and stand down, think she wants to look like a pop star as she sings to her kareoke machine!. She is a bit old for character ones (which is a shame as they seem cheaper than proper ones!), so am on the hunt for a cheap one of those.
Am planning on heading out to a local cash and carry today to have a nosey round, need some stocking fillers for the kids and thought there might be something useful in there!
Have a great day.0 -
Waiting for DH to get out of the kitchen so I can get myself a healthy breakfast. He has been clattering about in there for ages!
He did bring me a cup of tea though.;)
Will get DD to help me put new bedding on then have a nice hot shower in peace and quiet .
Happy Birthday to Squiddly Diddley :bdaycake::bdaycake: i
Fridge seems to be full of leftovers from meals DH has cooked but wary of eating it since I found out he had been putting butter in mashed potato and not told me and has not been seperating mince when cooking so it goes in clumps and does not cook properly
He thinks if he looks up a recipe on the internet that means he can cook, but as he does not ask if he does not understand anything and will not be told anything (no matter how tactfully) it is a bit hit or miss.
He doen't like the dishwasher so washes stuff by hand (still dirty after he washes it, stained cups and greasy icky pots) so I have to wait till he goes out and do it all over again then hide what I did so he does not feel hurt.
Cooker hob is filthy and worktops are a disgrace but can't do anything while he is home as I am supposed to rest.
He will put washing machine on but refuses to measure soap powder so uses double what is needed - packet that should have done 35 washes has done half, if that!
Think he may be back at work next week. :jHopefully when he takes early retirement at the end of January I will be back to normal and can do things properly.
Sorry to moan as he means well and does his best but if I did not get things of my chest I would have to "say something!" and I don't want to belittle him or be ungrateful.
Hugs to everyone and see you later"This site is addictive!"

Good morning,
Well another bad night for me. Had trouble getting off as mind in overdrive and then DD (17) rang me at 1.30am saying she was stuck as her lift had let her down. So up I wobbled out into the pouring rain and wind to collect her and friend:mad::mad:. I was cross because she out too late but she had the commonsense to phone me and not walk home. Anyway she up at 5.45 for her bus but she just phoned to say she feels ill - I told her she was not coming home and to dose herself up and stick it out as totally self induced:p.
I wrote my reply to my medical report so just have to wait and see what they want from me next.....
OS - Cleaner here today which is good as house is a tip. The DW needs sorting and so does the washing. I need to go to Post Office to send my letter Special Delivery and a parcel. I have tea sorted as I have leftover mince and veggies for a meat pie and will make bananna loaf to keep me going. Kids dad is away working this week so dreading how I will cope but I have some meals planned that can be done quickly by kids if I take a turn. Oh and a few more decs on the tree and ordering presents.
Hope its not a manic monday,
With love,

Just a quick post to say
HAPPY BIRTHDAY SQUIGGLY:beer:hope you have a wonderful day0 -
Morning all.
Happy Birthday Squiggly.
Sunnygirl, sorry you 'lost' a day due to migraine.Sounds like you feel a lot better now thankfully.
I've been out with the dog, nice day but chilly, better than the rain though, and saw my neighbour has her Xmas tree up.Bit early for me though.
I've had porridge with raisins and cinammon for brekkie.DH and DS2 are doing a couple of small jobs today, nothing for tomorrow, but start aweeks work on Wed :T which is just as well for the coffers-DH picked his accounts up from the accountant last week and it doesn't make happy reading. He said so many of his small business clients are in dire straits. On the positive side,I didnt think anything would come in before Christmas, and out of the blue last week s.o. rang,he gave them a price after looking. They accepted the same day and asked him to start it on Wed.
I'm going to make Nigellas chocolate fruit cake today to use as a Xs cake,I wasnt going to bother but realised I'd bought marzipan and icing ages ago so I might as well.
I managed to cut out my top yesterday, didnt use the Prima pattern after all,but a tried and tested one.I shall do some more sewing this aft.Last night I filled the 2 dark red shoppers with the food goodies for 2 friends, and I'm really pleased with how they turned out (even the crochet flowers
) I made one for myself too
-well,there was just enough fabric and I couldn't waste it could I?
Not sure whats for tea,I have leftover veg and spuds, and enough beef from yesterday, but I might freeze that as a hm 'ready meal'.I'll have a look in the freezer.
Hope you have a nice day.x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)0 -
Morning all!
Sun is out here, but boy is everywhere wet! Not too windy so dog didn't moan too much when I dragged him out!
OS stuff today will be cleaning and hoovering, not too much to do though - kids were at their dad's for the weekend, so don't have the usual mess! Also need to go and get some food bits at the shop, not too much though, just some fresh stuff and some flour really. Need some paint for dd2 to finish her volcano model for school as well - getting fed up making them now, seems that one child or another is always making them for school!
Ordered bikes for dd2 and dd3, wanted to get them in the shop, but surprise surprise, the one's they wanted are only available online now! They were in the shops a few weeks ago, cos that's where they saw them - still on the bright side they had been reduced! Now just waiting to find out what dd1 wants, was roller blades the other day, but she's changed her mind now! ds is having money, think he wants to save towards a motorbike! Just need a few more bits and bobs and some stocking fillers for ds and I'm almost done. Need to get something for ex from kids, no idea what yet, but will also help them do him a stocking. Then just need to grab some bits for friends, need to get a jokey photo frame for one friend, have found a truly horrible pic of Justin Timberlake (who she adores) with Leona Lewis, so gonna pop a photo of her face over Leona's and frame it!!!!
Right time for a cuppa and catch up now, before I set off for the shops, have a good day all xx
ps happy birthday Squiggly - hope you're enjoying your day off! xxGC Oct £387.69/£400, GC Nov £312.58/£400, GC Dec £111.87/£4000
