    I have a tablet but I feel it's cumbersome and I can't honestly get used to it so most of the time I use the keyboard. Maybe touch screen is the future?

    Mind you apple tablet sounds delicious.

    Yes culchied, it does. It's Audio in/out, analogue only. The 15 and 17 have an out and in, both of which do optical and analogue.

    I really ought to have looked a bit deeper in the Apple website;

    MagSafe power port
    Gigabit Ethernet port
    One FireWire 800 port (up to 800 Mbps)
    Mini DisplayPort
    Two USB 2.0 ports (up to 480 Mbps)
    SD card slot
    Audio in/out
    Kensington lock slot

    Thanks again everyone! :)

    Sorry to keep resurrecting this thread, but I just wanted to let you know that I purchased a wonderfully new Mac Book Pro last night;

    13"
    4GB RAM
    128GB Solid State Drive

    I intend saving up some cash for a Time Capsule once I've got to grips with my new toy. Sadly because it's a custom built model I might not receive it in time for Christmas but that does mean I'll have something to look forward to after the big day.

    Thanks again for all your help and advice folks. :)

    Resurrecting this thread again - sorry! My new Macbook Pro finally arrived today. I specifically ordered a GB keyboard but appear to have received a US one (i.e. the @ symbol is above the number 2 and the " symbol where I expect the @ to be). I type without looking at the keyboard so this is a major issue for me. Have I been given the wrong keyboard or is this how a Mac is?

    I recently bought another when i was in the US over xmas and the US keyboard has a different return key and key next to 1 is different and hey have the hash key where the £ sign is ( but i just set my settings to UK keyboard to overcome that)
