Thinking of getting an Apple...

So Apple, when can we look forward to your Tablet
Looks interesting, doesn't it?
The pundits have already started their complaining about how it's going to suck (as they did with the iPod and iPhone), but Apple wouldn't be entering that market if they didn't have something interesting to contribute.
It's also rumoured to be "shockingly inexpensive". If true, it would be very nice indeed, but this is Apple after all, so I guess we'll see.0 -
Out of interest what does the Apple Tablet offer that existing tablet computers don't, other than OSX of course?
I'm presuming it's a tablet version of a Macbook.It's my problem, it's my problem
If I feel the need to hide
And it's my problem if I have no friends
And feel I want to die0 -

That's the thing: nobody knows. Apple haven't even confirmed there is a tablet being developed, let alone what it does.0 -

Fair enough. Be interesting to see what it's like. Personally I've never quite got the point of tablets but then I thought a touch screen phone would be horrible to use and now they're everywhere! It's my problem, it's my problem

And with a Tablet, possibly a new OS;) Interesting times as the browser/OS wars hot up. M&A activity might very well be the name of the game; Google doing much of the gobbling up0

Touch screen phones were horrible to use until a few years ago. Some still are.
As I said before though, I can't imagine Apple would be working on a tablet if they didn't have a new twist on the concept. Tablets could be charitably described as "less than popular", so if Apple are working on one, they must have something new to offer.0 -
I wonder if an Apple tablet will be less of a Macbook tablet and more of an upscaled IPhone/iPod Touch device.
I'm sure they'll sell to the diehard Mac fans regardless, be interesting to see how the general public take to it.It's my problem, it's my problem

Does it? Can anyone confirm this for me please?0 -
Yes culchied, it does. It's Audio in/out, analogue only. The 15 and 17 have an out and in, both of which do optical and analogue.
