OOh, just had a call, curtains are ready, decluttered a load of marking.
Its coming together...
eta hugs vanilla - my friend got a letter from csa saying he owed maintenance arrears for 8 years or something, turned out the guy they were after had a totally different surname and the person who sent out the letter can't have been able to read, or stuck a pin in the phone book or something. He was lucky, his wife was very calm, but I would have freaked, and it could have destroyed his marriage. Their names had literally only two letters in common.
also hugs carol
rach there's a very good book from NCT called "babyshock" I think its written by relate. A good book for you to read, and then maybe DH.Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -
oh Vanilla thats so unfair - the innocent having to pay to prove they are innocent - I thought it was about £400 had heard that somewhere - would he be able to claim it back from the mother or the CSA when it proves he is not the father?
thats great news that DH got discharged - what a huge improvement that must be and a huge relief for you both.

I did have more than just the list in my post, but it vanished when I posted
. Pigpen must have found a way to stop us chatting
Living room pretty much done, but will need re-hoovering when the dog has left (my dad and the dog arrived this afternoon to collect my mum). Windows have also been done, and curtains taken down, shaken out and rehung. Blind needs washing in the spring.
Have done some work/research on the garden, so need to send an email shortly.
Did some gardening (dug up the tulips to send home with my mum, then gave up as it was cold); went into town and picked up my dry cleaning.
Now need to change my bedding, as I want to put the other half of the duvet on and send the bedcover home with my mum, as it fits her spare bed better than my bed, and with 12 people staying for Christmas they need to get bedding sorted out!
((((hugs))) all round, especially rach & vanilla
ETA - yes thanks toots - the stove is lovely but I'm a bit nervous about trying it. Then again, in this weather I'm going to need it!!0 -
*RANT*
We had a lovely phone call from the CSA and basically hubby needs to have a DNA test which is no problem except WE have to pay for it.
They gave me a number to ring to find out the cost and it's £458.58. So someone from the CSA is to phone me tomorrow morning as no one could answer any of my questions. Plus i've booked an appointment with the MP for friday, i just can't believe what a mess it is.:(
.
Vanilla, that's OUTRAGEOUS! Can you get a quick appointment with citizens advice to see what you can do to contest this before money gets spent?
Sending you humungous coping vibes love xxxI am the leading lady in the movie of my life

She has to agree to the DNA test (which she can refuse to do) and the only way to prove he isn't the father is the test, then once OH is proved not the father the CSA will pay him back for the test and any payments he's made but until that he has to pay her money each week. They won't tell us anything, weather a birth cert has been handed in or what there proof actually is. I'm totally gutted and hubby's trying to forget about it as he just can't handle it at the minute. So i'm left doing all the work on something i know nothing about.
I must admit i was very nervous this morning about the meeting because they have never done one before but it was really good, they asked if they were doing a good job.:rotfl:They've been a complete life line to me. They even praised me on how i handle it and also with having the kids. I was really embarrassed.Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough. And things go wrong no matter what I do.Now and then it seems that life is just too much. But you've got the love I need to see me through.:j :j0
