Stove is in. I need to think about a surround, but there's no rush (I'll need to paint the whole wall too... so redecorating might be on the cards in the new year). I should be able to test it tomorrow, but I might wait until there is someone else here, just in case

Hi all
Thanks for all the hugs, wise words and thoughts. I can't remember exactly who said what but you all talk a lot of sense. I don't want to go into too much detail here as it's public and you never know who is on (DH would hate to think I was talking about it all publicly, he asked me not to discuss it with my friend this morning, though I did in very general terms).
The bottom line is, we had always planned to have kids at some point and when we found out about my pcos we were both shocked by how strongly we felt that we definitely wanted them. DH can be quite an inconsistent person (I'm not at all, once I've made my mind up, which often takes me a long time, I stick to it), and he is also very up and down emotionally. So it's not the first time he's blurted out that he's not sure, but it's the strongest he's spoken about it. I feel like I don't know where I am with it all. Think we're going to eat out tonight and try and talk about it all. His main worries are a) that he won't be able to do all the walking that he loves and b) that he won't be a good enough dad. My feeling is that it's his own insecurities about not being good enough/tolerant enough/able to love kids that is at the root of it all.
So thanks for all your help, we will keep talking and I hope he will change his mind again, it's just that the not knowing is so difficult.
I spent most of today out, enjoyed coffee with my friend and I don't think I looked too much as if i'd spent hours in tears! I did a bit of shopping, bought myself some boots and a nice new top and a couple of Christmas bits. And I've had my blood tests, yes kazm for coeliac.
I'm now just very tired, but I don't really feel like sleeping, so I'm under a blanket on the sofa. I guess DH'll be home in about an hour, at which time we'll decide where to eat. don't think I can face noisy pizza express though.Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0 -

RE the new carpet - Have you had to arrange uplift of old one? Are you going to be stuck with disposing of offcuts?0 -
Oooh Triker, how exciting about the egg! What are you going to do with it? boil, poach or fry?
For now I'm just going to keep looking at it and smile, I love my chunkins.:D
After I've 'got over the birth' if that's the right word, I'll probably poach it on toast and eat it all up by myself.
Back from work, tea in oven, made a stew, may make a cake later.
