Carol, hugs, I find the homeopath helps with the BD too, PM me if you want to talk

DH is home today, as the weather is absolutely appalling. We had a powercut this morning, so we decided to go to Tesco to warm up! We had a £6 off voucher for this week, and when we had driven all the way there I realised I'd forgotten the voucher, and so we filled up with petrol and then came home, got voucher, and then drove back there and got the shopping!

As a result, I've not done any flying, but DH is going to cook roast chicken later so I might have space in the LR to do some tidying and cleaning while he's in the kitchen. Happily the power is back on or else we would have had no food, heating or lighting! Hate having an electric cooker, at least with gas you can still cook and have some heat.

Will update with my list a bit later xx

  • PenPen - good luck vibes for your DS - is it a mock? Nearly all the kids dread that exam, is he well prepared?

He's well prepared, knows the vocab and grammar, but despite several holidays in France, and my spoken French still being passable (so I've been trying to converse in French), his accent isn;t good :o He does the most brilliant Gallic Shrug, though :rotfl:

As I understand it, he has 3 exams and the marks from the best 2 are used for his mark, so this is for real
I don't like children really but adore my own! Well I like a few others, but not many

I'm a bit like that - love my children to bits, and can see their faults ;)

    Rach - hugs, hun :A

lil_me - glad DS is on the mend :T

Quillon - they're fab - are they for something special

I'm getting there with catching up on the thread ...............

DS2 doesn't seem to have any effects from the blue lolly yet.

No. 79 in PenPen's Rules of child rearing - never eat blue sweets or drinks as there are no blue foods in nature (and don;t say blueberries, as they are purple, so there :p )

Off to cook, so HHC 3:00 - 3:30 anyone :D

    .....

Well let's face it the shrug will be useful in so many future situations, much more so than being able to say what your like about your local town in French:rotfl:

Didn't get anywhere as friend popped in. Just having a cuppa before the school run - I had such high hopes for today and am out for most of the rest of the week - oh well.

I have cleared the hotspot that was in our bedroom. I have also cleaned the cloakroom including the floor. Hoovered the back hall and wiped the WM and TD where the dogs wipe mud up them. WM contents into TD, and the next lot piled up ready to go in.

PP - I will join you at 3pm.

Mudbath - I couldn't find an elf anywhere. I did every card shop and garden centre in the local area. Clearly a gap in the market there. Home and bragains had some good activity bits cheaply though.

I looked everywhere and no elves hence our festive visitor is Jinky the reindeer. He really looks like a Jinky too :rotfl::Dxx

    Still doing cards xx

Oh well my living room is a bomb site, filled with boxes for the garage, chairs etc but you can walk all the way through the dining room......:rotfl: I've unpacked 12 boxes and there is still more to go!!!!

Snook on here as I got told **rolls eyes he's in a right mood because he stayed up until 2am on the playstation** to get prices for the glass for the new tanks, I got it half the price he was quoted last week....odd.....also pricing up the runners for the glass. About £150 just for bits of plastic and glass, this is turning into a rather expensive project!

Right best go to get DS2, DS1s been parcelled off to bed so DP can look after him

One day I might be more organised...........

Crazy weekend. Celebrated DD1's 18th birthday with lovely family party. We fly to NYC on Wednesday. Very excited but terrified of flying. I'm sucking rescue remedy pastills like fruit gums. I had a terrible night's sleep and was awake when DS1's alarm went off for his paper round. It was pouring with rain so I took him round in the car - he even said thank you:D

All downstairs is hoovered. Having 40 people round dropping cake and nibbles all over the floor it really had to be done. I've even washed the kitchen/dining room/utilityroom/bathroom floors so I'm shattered now. House is pretty spick and span as having the hoards over I had to make a real effort last week. Just need to tackle the washing and ironing so that DH doesn't have to do the school uniforms until I'm back on Monday morning.
