It can be very difficult to plan your weekly chores if your condition fluctuates day to day (or even hour to hour). I tend to do a bit when I can and am luckily enough to have a great husband who does the donkey work
I'm finding the new microfibre cloths brilliant, the glass one lifts fingerprints and fluff off really well with a quick sweep. I'm giving OH one for the glass top cooker, which is black and never looks clean (man clean has to do for now).
I try to buy clothes which don't need much ironing, so tend to avoid linen sadly. Not overcrowding the washing machine and tumble dryer and hanging the clothes straight from the dryer helps avoid a lot of it. Also remember that only certain parts of clothes need ironing, if your trousers are snug around the butt only the legs need ironed, the rest will stretch out (:o).
A riser stool from the OT (with a tilted seat) is great for sitting at the ironing board too.
My friend's mum was an RAF wife and had to keep the house spotless for inspections, she blue tacked the ornaments to furniture and fluffed around them with a feather duster.
The microfibre mops seem to clean laminate floors well, I've also seen a mop bucket which rings them out too.
I keep a long handled brush & dustpan in the kitchen and bathroom for quick sweeps of the floor.
Baby wipes are brilliant for cleaning down white goods in the kitchen & also for cleaning small kitchen appliances and their cables.
Folding crates are great for throwing stuff into when someone is calling and you don't have the energy to sort out any clutter in the living room (if you don't mind finding them six months later in the spare room).
Keeping the kitchen counter tops as clear as possible will make sweeping round much easier & citrus cleaners cut through any grease very well. We screwed cup hooks under the kitchen cabinets so the mugs aren't taking up valuable counter or cupboard space.
Large clear plastic tubs in the kitchen cupboard make great 'drawers' and increase space if your limited. The stupid things you do, you regret... if you have any sense, and if you don't regret them, maybe you're stupid. - Katharine Hepburn0 -
I've decided we're going to leave early and i can pop into town and do the few bits i need to do there before i pick the boys up.
