for starters you could remind them about corporatw law, instead of their "make believe law" and send them the relevant parts which state that the majority shareholder controls dividends and not employees.

also, remind them of their own legislation which states that dividends can only be included if the nrp is the majority shareholder.

involving your mp would be a good idea. election coming up soon, so they're keen on scoring brownie points at the mo.

That does NOT apply under CS1 - ALL dividends were ALWAYS counted as income - it was changed for CS2, so you will be onto a loser if you fight this one using this argument.

yup. but can be overturned at appeal if you kick and scream loud enough. if you can prove you never recieved the dividends then you will win.

what some people don't realise is that they are NOT the force they portray themselves as. a lot of the time they'll just wing it without facts.

they rely on their bully boy tacics to get results. this is the main reason you should NEVER deal with them on the phone. as a test, ask them to put their threats in writing and send them to you. they'll politely refuse. reason???? they don't want the paper trail leading back to them.

when you go into battle with them armed with facts they often lose. hence the vast amounts they are now being forced to cough up in compensation.

it all depends if you're the type to roll over and play dead, or grab the dog by the nuts and squeeze. :T

Yep Speedster i'm with you on that one .They had used bully boy tactics instead of going to companies house to get the information .MP is quite optimistic as he met the complaints team just last week and a lot of them are worried about losing their job also .So who knows .
Hopefully it won't need to go to appeal as the evidence is clear cut in the DP files which my MP is armed with as well :T

exactly my point. don't be bullied by the jumped up dictators. just because they say it's "law" doesn't actually mean it is.

thing is, some people just post certain facts and leave out a lot of relevant info. especially if it benefits the bad boy nrp.

The year they used neither me or my wife had dividends registered against us they went to the company director at the time .The company members are registered before the year begins more proof on Companies House .
I have copies of all the years in question and also change of members etc which is a legal document in itsself .The records can't be ammended after they are registered .

As I said, if the figures are wrong they can be amended but you can't have them wiped out altogether as you implied just because they aren't a majority shareholder.
