hey everyone, just updated my signature as we did a little 'top-up' shop yday and had to grab nappies and wipes for LO (I have decided these are what is making us skint every month!)
So already over the halfway mark only 7 days into our month, but I have meal planned for upto the week of Xmas and only have 'top-up's to do between now and then..Nothing is impossible...0 -
can you put me down for £500 for Dec please helen, thanks.Ill still need to do my totals for nov which went waaay over but I have all my meals till next year and all my booze and treats for christmas.Right better get caught up on the posts now."Sometimes life sucks....but the alternative is unacceptable."0

Since yesterday I have spent:
£62.08 on food,
£10.20 on contact lenses stuff, soap, and cleaning stuff etc
£10.80 on food stuff for xmas pressies
and its still November:rolleyes:
I've never broken my spend down before but think it might help me keep track of what it goes on.
If you could buy it in sainsburys my budget needed to cover it basically, but if I dont know exactly where its going it will be harder for me to cut back more, which I want to do.
I want my '6 months cost of living' savings back next year, in case I need to draw on it again as I did this last year and DS has an expensive college trip to go on too.
Looking back over the last year, my august spend was amazing, eating lots from the garden and DD away for the month, teenagers, expensive things!
So thats £83.08 out of my £280 budget for the month so far:rolleyes:0 -
Thank you for the aldi advice!! hi all
Came in £55 under my £300 november target!! but not sure if I missed stuff off, as didn't record hubbyss spends - need to tighten up on that this month!
Gonna go for £260 this month please - £65 a week for 2 adults, and 3 kids (all on school lunches).
Have loads of freezer stuff so will plan meals around what we have in, and can be used up first. Have a 750points voucher on a £50 tesco online shop, so will use that this month too to get the best offers!!
Rough weekly guesstimate:
£30 weekly meat/fish, fuit & veg, milk & bread
£35 for everything else - inc lunch box stuff0 -
overspent a little in Mr L, aiming for £30 so I could use the £5 voucher - seemed so wrong trying to spend more money - ended up stocking up on Opticat cat food for the month. I already recorded the £30 spend against November challenge (and reduced budget for december) that makes my first spend in December £5.42 / £500 (and we haven't even started yet)
fish pie tonite - value white fish, value prawns in a BOGOF cheese sauce with mashI think I saw you in an ice cream parlour
Drinking milk shakes, cold and long
Smiling and waving and looking so fine0 -
Well am in again for December....put me down for £400 please!! Have already spent £136.70 !!! Next few week's shouldn't be as bad though...we're not doing xmas dinner, but will obviously buy some stuff towards it!!20p Saver Club #33 60p/£100

Hiya everyone... would love to join again this month! Have declared my spends and discoveries in November, and would like to go in for £400 again this month. I have already done one week's meal plan, and put an order in for about £80, but I'm determined to come in this month! Going to have a good look through the recipes (I'm sure I said that last month, but this time I will
) Half of my problem is that I am just not organised!
Thanks Pink, Helen and Rosieben for running the challenge
