Well my final total for December is £546.67 - an embarrasing £96.67 over!
Nevermind - I have stuck with a £450 grocery budget for January and it is my general spending budget which has taken the overspend hit. I also owe myself a bit of money which I borrowed for Christmas so I'm trying to spend as little as possible this month so I can get my finances straightened out by March:D: - if nothing else happens:D:D.

Happy New Year (bit late I know) and good luck to everybody.
August Shopping Challenge. 26/8. Budget £250 Spent £256.81.. £6.81 over. So £0.00 a day left.
  • Hi anyone who is still here,
Lost the plot -again-will declare £200 and definitely £180 for Jan 2010.
Had a great Christmas, continuous family but littlies with us,so exciting.Loads of 'wow nanny'aah.
All those pressies, and THE MESS.Still as Mum says 'you only have to clear up once'
Bought less food, thought about it a bit more carefully and all was good.
Aldis turkey was lovely(8.99)-friend paid £34 for a fresh one.
Haven't made trifle for years, but made 2(Christmas and New Year,so not same peeps, only us 2!)Looks effective and used choc sponge left over from charity do in June-very OS.
Bought fun size bars of things from Aldi-sent back with DS and DD-in-law,so I don't have to eat them:rotfl:
Happy New Year and see you over the page

    mrss

PS what resolutions if any do people make?Apart from the one about not making any.

    .

Never mind - I got a bit disorganised at the end of last year and am declaring at £620 - £120 over - have no idea how that happened - might be at bit of xmas cashback I didn't spot or some M&S shopping that might not have all been food. that's what happens when you take your eye off the ball
I think I saw you in an ice cream parlour
Drinking milk shakes, cold and long
Smiling and waving and looking so fine

Hi everyone - and a belated happy new year to all of you.

So I have finally totted up my spends for December and ended on £118.91, well within my £150 target - yay!!!. I will defintiely be joining the January GC and I'm looking forward to saving more money. I will be joining a few other threads as well - and really make the most of this site. For once, my new year resolutions have nothing to do with diet and exercise, but are almost all about saving/earning money.

Good luck to the rest of you and see you on the January GC thread.

Final declaration for December - €634 so €16 under budget. Which included buying party foods for DD's party (which my mum was hosting and we were travelling to) and a turkey crown in M&S to make life easier on ourselves. So happy with that.

And now, on to a new year!!
    GC 2010 €6,000/ €5,897

    GC 2011:Overall Target: €6,000/
    €5,442 by October

Back on the wagon again in 2014

    Hello Everyone,

Finally totted up my December spending and came in at £74.84 oops! thought I was under budget but y signature has just reminded me I dropped to £70 this month - whoops! I did include some medicine and a plant that I wouldn't normally because I thought I was under, so not too worried about that :)
