Just realised that I haven't included my little shop at the Co-Op this morning after I got my hair cut and can't find the receipt at the moment or remember how much it was for. (Seem to have such a bad memory at the moment!) I do know though that I bought a cucumber that was reduced to 50p to then find nearly a whole one already in the fridge drawer. Typical!Grocery aim £450pm.Spent £519 August, £584 July, £544 June, £541 May, £549 April, £517 March, £517 Feb,£555 Jan, £573 Dec, £465Nov, £561Oct, £493Sept, £426Aug,£496 Jul, £528Jun, £506May,£498April, £558 March, £500Feb, £500 Jan, £490 Dec, £555 Nov,£566 Oct, £505Sept, £450Aug, £410 July, £437 June, £491 May, £471 April, £440 March, £552Feb, £462Jan0

My first shopping trip since joining the grocery challenge. I live in South London so no excuse for not making full use of the many local markets, wholesalers and discount shops. Bought 5L white vinegar 2.45 - for cleaning and laundry. Went to 99p store to buy toiletries and checked out food section for the first time. Bought 4 tin pack of tuna, 2L Ribena, 12 pack crisps, 4 pack J2O all for 99p each. Went to Sainsburys where fresh meat counter was closing for refitting and grab the bargain of the week - 5 TTD pork chops, 6 lamb chops, 2 belly pork joints, 3 duck breasts, 12 sausages, about 3lb mince meat and 2lb steak, plus a few kidneys all for £20. Meat wasn't on the shopping list, but well hey. Total spend £51.0

First update...
Feel a bit bad for having spent over a quarter of my monthly food budget by the 5th, but it is because I just did a big shop and managed to get 48 sachets of Whiskas for £10, which will last 24 days, whereas normally I'd just buy one box of 12 a week. (So with another £4 or so on dry food, that should be catfood done almost til the end of the month). Also we needed some household things and it was my turn...

I have managed to have 2 NSD's in a row:j
That will change today though as I am going shopping with DD2 for food and Xmas bits. We may be visiting quite a few shops so spending is probably inevitable:D
Willl post the damage later.0 -
I've been a good girl and added up my grocery spends thus far- 49.45 out of £200. It seems a fair chunk but I have stocked up on psycho cat's food as it was on offer, bought several bits for the pud on Xmas day and took advantage of the value lines at Mr T that Sainsbugs don't do an equivalent of like porridge oats.
