Managed to spend £40 and pennies yesterday at Mr T - hopefully I won't need to shop until after our holidays now though apart from a bit of milk and cheese.

Spent twenty odd quid this week on snacks, milk and beer for DH and a fivers worth of stuff to finish my BIL hamper on Thursday but cannot find the receipt:mad:

It's not showing on the internet banking either for some reason so I cannot add the total to my sig. Still got loads in and I don't need to shop until next weekend as will need more fruit.

  • hi all
aiming for a no spend day today.
went through the freezer and fridge last night and wrote some mealplans for the weekend and next week. made lasagne today with some bolognaise i didn't fancy from the freezer (it was nicer than i remembered when served), and boiled up the veggies i had in the fridge with an onion this morning and made soup, which DD had for lunch and will do me two lunches in the week.
Have been on mysupermarket.com and costed the shopping list for food for next week, £13 at the mo! alot on next weeks menu is stuff in freezer/cupboard i want to use up hence quite cheap buying the things to add to it.

    have a good weekend everyone.

tuna recipes for flat eric - tuna pasta bake, tuna mayo in a baked potato - or what I shall call the F.E special - tuna with chick pea salad

for myself today was a small shop at the c00p - F&V, cheap bread - warm baguettes + some cookies £10
I think I saw you in an ice cream parlour
Drinking milk shakes, cold and long
Smiling and waving and looking so fine
  • Total to date now £16.56 (of my target £75.00). Include £5.00 on an unscheduled takeaway (vegetable biryani and raita) - but I made that last for 2 main meals.

Got a 'triple nectar points if you spend £60.00' from Sainsbury's today. Valid until 12 December. That'd take me over budget though!

Hope you are all doing well.

Pleased with the weekly shop today, only spent £11.46 in Mr M less £5 petrol voucher, then £8.31 in Aldi so total of £14.77 :j

Would have been even less according to my original list but OH, while I was staying at a pal's last night, invited one of his sons and girlfriend for tea tomorrow . Not too bad as we have lots of makro steaks in the freezer but had to buy extra veggies and more cream to go with the pud.

However after my night out last night (stayed up at pal's chatting until 3.00am) couldn't be bothered cooking so OH offered to buy fish suppers ;) so saved a meal there :rotfl:

Away to update signature now. With £72.23 left to last until 23rd when we go away, looks likely will be well under budget.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend everyone
  • Flat Eric - your cupboards sound a lot like mine although mine is probably worse!

Spent £4 on toilet rolls today in Farm Foods, £6.20 in Home Bargains mainly on kitchen roll cos I had some vouchers, £2 in Iceland on milk and £13 odd in Sainsburys on other bits. Was going to go to Tescos for other bits but couldn't be bothered in the end so will probably go Tuesday instead. I find it quite beneficial money wise to go to lots of different places but so time consuming, particularly at this time of year when every where is so busy.

My total now is at £170 so far for the month and too early to tell yet whether target will be achievable. Know taht I need to do another stock check of the freezer though cos somehow I have managed to misplace the check I did about 10 days ago and I can't remember what was on it either. That will be a pain though because it is a large chest freezer and it is full up, although some of taht will be gluten free bread, sausages etc which are only of use to DS.
