    Afternoon all

Coxy11 - I like the fresh fruit and veg in MrL always seems to be good quality and price.

Haven't been browsing much as have had a lot going on, and next week seems to be following the same theme! Have managed to grab a few minutes to meal plan for next week, so have been to MrA this morning and done the food shop. We're going away to friends tonight until Sunday - retail therapy for us girlies, whilst the boys do boys toys things! Really need to do some Xmas shopping as I'm so far behind this year, I'm normally pretty well organised and nearly finished my shopping by now. Diet is still going well have now lost 2 stone 8lb (lost 2lb this week) and have met my interim target of 1 stone in the last 12 weeks leading up to Xmas - so am very pleased - but will need to be careful this weekend I suspect alcohol and food will be plentiful!

    Have a good weekend.

Keep safe and well everyone, hugs to those that need them.

Have just updated sig with spends for today, didn't actually plan on getting any shopping today, but was passing Tesco (which is miles away) so thought I'd go and get some of their wine/lager that was on offer and put by for christmas.

Long Tall Sally Reggae Reggae sauce was the first sauce done by a guy called Levi Roots. He went onto The Dragons Den to get funding for his business which has grown really well. Either him or certainly his family are from the Caribbean and his catch phrase is 'Put some sunshine in your food' :DHere is his website

Reggae Reggae sauce is like a spicy ketchup I suppose. Hope this helps!

    Hello everyone,

Can I join in this month's grocery challenge? I'm going to set myself a target of
£120 for 1 adult and 2 cats (this includes food, catfood and cat litter, but not toiletries, and I have set aside £30 separately to go towards Christmas dinner!). I tend to spend almost all my money at the beginning of the month then have to stick to a horrendous budget at the end, so am going to try to balance it out evenly this time...
    GC: December: £145?/£120; January: £125.70/£120; February: £163.22/£120; March £113.94/£120; April £DOOM; May £Gave up; June £DOOM; July £160.78/£108; August £7.65/£200

    Hello everyone,

My whopping £90 spend last night, didn't dent my GC budget too much, in fact only by £13.72p. So I'm still doing ok at the moment. Hopefully I'll only need to buy bicarb. today but I'm sending DH out to fetch that, because look what happened yesterday when I only went out for biccies:rotfl:

Should do a bit of baking this afternoon, but freezer is full now and I'm praying it doesn't do a wobbly on me. I might just be able to squash a little bit more in though.

    Have a good day everyone!

    Hello everybody.

Only spent £2.39 today on noodles (more noodles?) and tubs of Parmesan in Asda.

Tesco will not sell me dried Parmesan any more or tins of water chestnuts and bamboo shoots though I have found these in the Costcutters near DD2's school. And Bowyers sausages! It does annoy me when they stop stocking things!
August Shopping Challenge. 26/8. Budget £250 Spent £256.81.. £6.81 over. So £0.00 a day left.
