I'm in this month - I've not done this for ages!

Can you put me at £195 for this month, please? That's for food, toiletries and anything extra I need to get in for Christmas for 2 adults, 5 kids and a dog :)

Hopefully I won't have to buy much more food for Christmas as I have been making / buying it throughout the last couple of months :)

Hello, I haven't done the grocery challenge for months. Am determined to do it in December. Am planning a monthly spend for December of £200. This is just for me and husband and includes all toiletries and cleaning/washing products. I know this sounds a lot but we have saved all year and deserve some treats (also have people coming round). Hopefully though it will come in a lot under (hence the challenge) - am planning on buying a few Sainsburys Basics items to keep costs down.

I'd like to compare notes with Kitchenbunny as from her post there is just two of them as well - will be watching with interest.

    Many thanks.:j

Thanks for the new thread Pink :)

Well, here we go peeps, last one of 2009! I cant believe how quickly this year has gone. Anyhow, I'm sticking to my usual target which is £80-ish, have bought most of the christmas stuff, just need to get fresh dairy, fruit and veg and maybe a small joint of beef or lamb nearer the holiday; my store cupboard is pretty full so I'm happy. I'm stocked up on basics like t.rolls, bin bags, tea, coffee and toiletries - also cold and cough meds!

happy shopping everyone, here's hoping you all find lots of whoopies :D

    Hi everybody,

Latest shoppin - local supermarket, including meat £14.56
    Grocers - £10.34
    Spar - £5

Should only need bread and milk for the next week.

Need to do some serious meal planning now.... (I know I should have done it before shopping but not very organised lately!!)

Thanks pink, rosieben & helen for a lovely new thread :T
First spend of December amounts to £31.02 which did include store cupboard items like sugar, caster sugar and marzipan for the Christmas cake and couldn't resist Mr M's buy 1 get 2 free Ragu tomato sauce :o and 2 lovely sea bass half price @ £1.99, already in the freezer - 2 meals for OH-I don't like fish.

Enough meat/meals in the freezer for the week and beyond so ever hopeful of keeping within budget.

Off to the movies soon, have a good night all :D
