Can someone clarify this for me please?
I seem to remember that if a shop has priced an item incoirrectly then they are under no obligation to sell to you. However, if they take payment at the incorrect price, then as far as the Law is concerned, the deal is done and the contract is complete. The shop cannot then undo the deal or ask for additional payment to the correct price.
Am I correct here?
Sean
Not sure about the law, but Tesco's policy is that once the item is dispatched they cannot change the price. When you order your bank reserves the money for the transaction and Tesco request it just prior to dispatch.0 -

The product isn't showing on the site at all, even under full price.0

Why did you ring0 -
Order placed yesterday, nothing was showing on account. Didn't mention price, they said straight away that item was priced incorrectly and would be cancelling orders taken. Was just a young las I spoke to but seemed to know straight away there was an issue with this item.Jan Grocery challenge

I was watching that programme 'don't get screwed' and on there they state that if they have processed the transaction then the contract has been confirmed, whether they have shipped it or not makes no difference. They are not allowed to refund you, if there is a price mistake you are entitled to the goods regardless. I shall be on the phone to them if I get my order has been cancelledComping wishlist for 2017

You will fail. Tesco don't take the money from you until the item is about to be dispatched. They 'reserve' the funds - this is not the same thing as the money is still yours.
If you got a dispatched email then the contract is fulfilled.0 -

I would like to know the answer to that as well. Why bother informing Tesco's so they can look into it???
I just don't understand why people should do this and ruin a bargin.Sometimes it's worth just keeping real bargins to yourself instead of posting on the net so they don't get pulled/cancelled straight when people can't help themselves to phone.0 -
