No doubt those who say they'd never use them again will be first in line to order when the next new title shows up at £15.

So they can cancel when they feel like it?

If there's a problem here then it's theirs, if they choose to make it my problem then I will make 100% sure they are never in the position to do it again. If they think they'd be making a loss on this game then I'd be delighted to add some zeroes to it by doing the weekly shop at one of the umpteen other supermarkets in the area.

Oh for crying out loud, get a grip. They've clearly made a mistake, and you've jumped on the mistake to hopefully get a bargain. It didn't happen, it fell through. You win some, you lose some. Why should you expect, nay demand, that a company honours a mistake - it's their choice.

If you handed over £50 in a bar instead of £20 and subsequently got less change, would you cheerfully let the barman keep the change because you'd made a mistake? I very much doubt it.

    Get some perspective.

I wouldn't wait two days to ask for the remainder. They've had that long to cancel, if that's the ultimate result. I'm a regular customer who has put dread to think how much in their tills over the years, if they're more interested in a few quid and annoying a regular than grinning and bearing it they can do without.

I don't need to get a grip, retailers etc. who get up my nose do without my custom.

The bit I do agree with you on is in relation to abusing companies. However the same can be said for a lot of companies too. I'm not condoning those who have bought multiple copies, but it isn't all one way.

True, it definitly works both ways, the statement was more intended not just for Tesco, but on the whole for all retailers, aswell as not just a statement for this site - it seems like more and more "bargain hunters" are out to make money by buying alot of mispriced items to sell, whereas before companies were sometimes inclined to just accept the loss on items, the abuse some people do of both big and small companies alike seems to be getting more and more popular and is definitly not in the spirit of these bargain websites (and its really not suprising that the companies dont want to honour orders).

This bargain, Tesco would be losing alot of money on it, i've seen people who have orders 4-5 copies of it because cex are/were offering £29 trade in value for it, so in this case Tesco would be sending copies out for around a £10 loss, for certain people to just go and profit from, not good business to give money away. I wouldnt be against sites deciding to honour single orders and cancelling multiple number of copy orders though :p

I think alot of people have been around these types of sites long enough to know if a deal comes off, great, if it doesnt, move on and try for something else though - no amount of arguing with said company will get them to change their stance if they decide to cancel. Its all just about that little bit of excitement when ordering something cheap :D

Yes I agree. Will they? Won't they?? No email yet!!
Ask me no questions, and I'll tell you no lies
  • I don't think Ive been lucky enough to get a misprice posted on here, usually too slow, too late or just can't make up my mind. The few i have ordered I have always received a cancellation email for.

I like the excitement of the will i get it or won't I. But when I don't who cares its not as if I've lost anything and 1 day I might get lucky. i certainly wouldn't waste anymore time on it, complaining or going to a different supermarket etc.
