It's odd reading this cause most people got money taken out of their accounts on the 28/11.
Now i got a cancellation email on the 30/11, but the money wasn't taken out of my account until the 2/12 then paid back in on the 4/12
odd indeed0 -
Hi All
Same for me. Money taken out on the 2nd after order cancelled on 28th Nov
I have emailed repeately with no response. I have now emailed CE Tesco.
Everyone else should do the same. No wonder tesco have made such high profits taking £15 from ? many people , keeping it for 2 weeks +++ before eventually paying it back! not bad cash flow. How many times do they do that it a day?:mad:0 -
Hi
Like so many of you I too received a cancellation email on the 30th Nov and on the 2nd received a refund and then the money taken after... I only checked my statement after reading this thread againIllegitimi non carborundum.0 -
This thread is quite sad.
It was obviously a misprice, with these its a bonus if you get them. Tesco's terms clearly limits them from honouring misprices and legally you have not a hope
E-mailing the CEO will most likely get ignored as well.
Maybe you should be grateful for the misprices that are honoured rather than the other way about.0 -
Thanks for everyones updates, I have just checked my CC transactions.
The money was taken out of my CC and not refunded for several days.
I know Tescos T & C might say that it is only a contract once they dispatch the item, but I am sure the LAW says that once they have taken the money the contract is made.
I have emailed CS a few times and basically got a bog standard brush off.
I will now be writing to Sir T - not email, as I don't want to give them any excuse to wriggle out of this.0 -

The law says nothing of the sort.0 -

I am sure the law does not allow Tesco to just charge us and then neither deliver the item nor refund us.
That is why we are getting so worked up.:mad:0 -

Your correct it doesnt allow them to refund you but they won't not have refunded you.
One of two options
1) They never debited your account and simply put a reservation on the funds. This is not recognised as a charge
2) They did debit you and have keyed the refund but it still hasnt hit your account. Refunds typically take longer to go through unfortunately.
Its amazing how many amatuer lawyers there is when it suits them. However in conclusion Tesco have broken no laws, you have no right to get the game, it was clearly a misprice, now move on.0 -

I don't think anyones problem is not getting the misprice, it isn't for me anyway, its always worth a try for these things. Its the fact that after cancelling my order, they then money from my bank account 2 days later. People shouldn't have to be asking for their money back for an item they were never going to receive!2009-£7500 2010 £10800 2011 £2000
