Had a VAX 6131 for a while now and a Dyson.....Dyson is good for cleaning, VAX is good for nothing......hoover is crap and it doesnt wash that well either.....total chocolate fireguard...wasnt a cheap one either...bought in a sale for £80 (was £180)....my mum just bought a Bissell which we have used and quite frankly you get what you pay for...miles better.....it uses heated water and you use the inbuilt dryer to dry the carpet whereas most consumer vaxes seem to use cold water and dont have a drier.[/

    Part of the Furniture
These are vacuums not steam cleaners and I'm impressed with mine.

I've had two £200+ pretty much top of range Hoovers with 3 burnt out motors between them so the 'get what you pay for' line doesn't go down well with me when it comes to cleaners. These 2 Vax cleaners come in at well under Hoovers standard repair call out fee so I'm willing to give them a go which is more than I will ever do for Hoover again!

Both our Dysons conked out within 4 years. The first one cost £250. Won't be buying another one.You don't always get what you pay for....

I recieved my 2 vacumes for £54.98, originally £67.99 as in the first post but then used a 20% off code brining it to £54.98 so after commission it will bring it down to around £48. I am really really happy with my vacs vacumes, much better than the hover I also have which cost much more.

    A BIG BIG thank-you to Bella4uk.

Did you get any sort of order confirmation or did they just turn up without notice? How long did they take to arrive?

What kind of Hoover were you using beforehand?

weve had our Dyson for over 7 years and its still going strong...even after being dropped downstairs twice......mind you ours is the small one DC07 i think which seem to be more reliable/tougher than the upright ones....guess weve been lucky.....

Well actually it was a damn good cleaner (better than my mum and sisters dysons apparently) when it worked which is why I bought a second one. If you mean crap in terms of reliability then I couldn't agree more!

Thanks to OP, gone for this at £42.99. Should be delivered next wednesday. Anyone know if they will leave items in a porch or will they need a signature? We are off for 2 weeks from tomorrow!
