My hair wavers between very long and mid length, short short doesn't really suit my face....the two cuts it has had this year is out of the ordinary, before the cut in Feb it had been two years since the previous cut!

It generally costs me around £16 when I do get it cut.

When I lost all my weight, I did get into the habit of going every 5 weeks (my hair grows extremely quickly) and became more girly about things...but the style has always been brush and go rather than brush, straighten, put stuff on it, blow dry and brush some more and an hour later finally be ready.

I also went through a bit of a phase of buying more clothes at the same time, well I had to really, size 24 clothes on a size 10 body doesn't quite do it....always felt awful about splashing out though.

Now the body is errr, well not very nice, my metaobolism is rather !!!!ed (I also had a dally with an anorexia type thing in my teens - plus hormonal treatment from the age of 20 through to my mid 30's) and have a very unhealthy relationship with food...there is no middle ground at all, I am either starving myself or being rather eek which does the metabolism no good at all but I am determined to get a hold of it for my 40th next April and maybe look halfway decent for my party.

Anyone have any ideas of cheap way to do weightwatchers but with the support? I really need someone to keep an eye on my mental relationship with food while dieting...I am not suited to Slimming World.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

Does a nurse at your GPs run a weight loss clinic? ;) Free, best people to keep an eye on you and ''official''. On health and beauty forum there is a great mpnthly thread...7lb target, no more.
  • Appearances are definitely the most important thing. What better way to impress people we don't like than to spend money we don't have on things we don't need? Best to keep that consumption conspicuous! Just like ordering the most expensive wine and talking loudly in restaurants, gunning the engine of my motorbike late at night and parking my company car inconsiderately, my [STRIKE]trophy wife[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]mail order bride[/STRIKE] wife must, like all my other possessions, reflect my taste and status. That's why I let her have a credit card last year, so she can keep up the fake tan, botox, lash treatments, nail inserts, tooth whitening and all the rest - she looks so fantastic (god knows what she really looks like!) - what a credit to me and my credit-worthiness!

You were size 24? Fu cking hell. I went up to a size 18 before I learned starvation is actually my friend.

We need a sticky Sue. House prices and the economy and how it affects our diet.

They do pan stick, I adore pan stick

Panstick is foul and just attracts hairs, flufff and bacteria IMO, why use it when the technology used in modern make-up is so much better? You are much better off using a liquid to powder foundation if coverage is the issue.

I'm not sure that I agree with that statement, having said that obesity does no-one any favours. I begrudgingly agree with Kate Moss that nothing tastes as good as skinny feels (for skinny I would substitute the word slim) but wouldn't usually take any notice of someone with her drug / alcohol / cigarette-fulled lifestyle. She ain't going to age well, that's for sure.

I have never been into make up my Mum wasn't either but my DD can do eyeliner etc without looking like a panda. I use some No7 products and they are often on three for two or £5 voucher deals so I stock up then I am not buying more than usual.
