Ahhh, extra things added to the list.

My hair gets cut when it does...last time was 3rd October, the time before was in Feb.

I don't wax...used to but the pennies won't stretch to it so now I am back to the old Bic razor (or the lady cheap equivalent).

The hair gets dyed as and when I can be bothered, always a home dye - have had a box sitting there since October but still not got around to it, really need to after the last couple of months and the appearance of more grey.

Manicure - Hmm, would help if I had any decent nails to manicure.

Clothes - Another thing that has gone by the wayside, although I was never a big spender here anyway.

Bath/hair stuff - What ever is on special offer. Hair is washed twice a week, anymore and it goes completely nana, straightened once in a blue moon, no styling products used...another thing my hair goes nana when used. Apparently, I have very healthy hair so must be doing something right.

Make up kit comprises of - Eyeliner, lipstick and eye shadow. Mascara is not needed as I was blessed with gorgeous thick and long eyelashes, I did have foundation at one point but the boys lost it for me one day and I never got around to replacing it. The lipstick is a new one, purchased for me by my youngest son who also chose the colour, slightly different to my normal but so much better.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

Gents, feel free to answer too, either on behalf of the women in your life or yourselves - whatever turns you on!

Glad this is inclusive; wouldn't want to perve from the sidelines....

As to how much I'm using, it's the same. Just finished two after shaves bought this time last year to make the Avon lady go away, and now on one that wasn't allowed inside a Christmas parcel DW was sending to the troops in Afghanistan.

Apart from that, I use the aqueous cream you get for next to nothing in a huge tub at the chemist for my hands. Oh, and I usually steal DW's deodorant.....wouldn't want you to think I smelled!

Not the nation's number one spender on cosmetics, me.:o

I do a filthy job so wearing make up is not a good idea, the grot clings to my face  So I dont bother really.

I do cleanse tone moisturise every day and think this is important, but I dont spend much on products ( using vouchers wherever poss)

I do think its nice to use a decent ish shampoo, you can get the designer names in £ shops, so I never spend a lot but we do like Charles Worthington.

I usually go to CW for my haircut ( 3 a year) although I now have 2x hairgroup haircuts for 1.95 and a tenner hair cut from Last minute, so I wont need to go back to CW for a while, although, my stylist there does a wonderful cut and Id pay whatever he charged to be fair.

I have got make up, but actually a Lot of it is barely used and was rtc from boots sale last Xmas :o I do throw stuff away now and then.
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast

Nothing worse than kissing a girl that has put makeup on with a trowel. Amazing to think they actually reckon they look better for it. Was browsing facebook the other day. A couple of girls from school could look way better if it wasnt for the bright orange foundationer and silly eye makeup. Costs a fortune. If you are ever in the US, you will realise how much of a rip-off makeup is in the UK, especially the designer stuff.

    Au naturel please.

As for me, Sorry, not falling for any of this advertising crap trying to get us to pluck, wax, use makeup. Its all @rse, designed to line someone elses pockets. Wouldnt particularly want a partner either that puts value on such nonsense either.

    I've been Money Tipped!

I've always spent quite a bit on make up etc. I'd like not too, but I always fall prey to the promise of longer lashes, better finsihes etc.

I think I've spent less recently. I have a pretty comprihensive collection of eyeshadows (a big indulgence, but I love colour,) I don't wear all that much lip stick/gloss (although I do need to replace one my dog chewed. My last tub of laura mercier foundation lsted a year ..I've only just replaced it. (I'd rther buy ''good'' stuff). I do spend far to much on mascara.

I tend to get basics (perfume/mascaras/liners skin care) in duty free....I show dh what I want and he buys it, and he has a great nose for scent. But, they do call me by my forst nam at my nearest Space NK...and its not very near!

I have recently, spurred on by MSE started Conditioner only washing (well, conditioner mainly washing) and my hair looks great and it does work out a little cheaper. I also started the oil cleanse methd, which so far so good, but finding and buying castor oil, cost a lot in fuel...no one local had it...and I still use my (expensive) other skincare...moisturisers etc.

Hair is three times a year (I've fairly recetly gone brunette which feels a bit weird...don't think it will last forever)..and that is expensive...but I have good hair. I spend quite a bit on ''product'' though.

ETA: I do have an embarrasingly large collection of make up, some bought in excess as a teen/twenties, much handed on from friends/family. I have a tuck truck full of nail polish in storage:o and an antique tool box with drawers holds the rest of my collection.

Much could be pared down now. Its unlikely in my thirties I'll wear stck on stars again.

I've just had a fairly large spend. Skincare is my main vice. I've always used Estee Lauder's Advanced Night Repair and Idealist and won't stop, skin feels horrid without. Beyond that also use an expensive tinted moisturiser. Anything else is high street: Rimmel for lips, Boots for powder, Bourjois for mascara. Asda for hair products.

Hair gets done 3-4 times a year. My main vice is my day spa membership, try to go once a month if I can.
Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.
  • May I join in please?

I spend very little on make up but try to buy Bourjois or No 7 when I have to get something. I wear the same colours all the time. Hair is done at a local salon every four weeks, coloured and cut every second visit. I have stopped buying clothes altogether. I have lots of nice vintage (second hand) dresses for parties, a suit someone gave to me for work and lots of jeans and jumpers for home. Since we are economising on other things, it seems only fair that I try to stick within a budget too.
  • I've been living on a very restricted budget for a number of years now, so the current downturn hasn't affected my buying-habits at all. I've been practicing for yonks!

All of my toiletry items are supermarket own-brands these days. Every stitch of clothing I wear for work has been purchased on ebay but I'm generally smarter-dressed than the people I work with and sometimes even the people I work for. This is down to only ever bidding for items of a quality which I could never afford to buy new but I always keep to a very strict budget and do not get carried away bidding against other people.

I wear my hair long (which is probably not a good idea at my age, but whatever) so I have my hair trimmed at Supercuts about once a year.

My only indulgence is the solid foundation I wear, the refills cost £30 and I'm constantly on the look-out for a cheaper substitute. I haven't found one to date but I'm still looking. I make each refill last about three months.

I've given up buying normal scent or perfume as totally unaffordable so am buying substitutes/replica oils from the Perfume-Parlour website at £2.25 a pop including postage. The ones I use are so close to the originals as to be virtually indistguishable. That site was recommended by posters on the Health & Beauty forum and I thank my lucky stars I paid attention.

My make-up bag is stuffed with eyeshadows: I don't think I've bought a new one in over five years and I make my mascara go further by dipping the wand under the tap when it dries out. I can get weeks of addition use out of one this way.

Any clever tips would be much appreciated!
