Great Post''I love you'' Lemon Jelly.

    It's a hard one.

Had it all with my parents when I was a teen (the swinging 60's and 70;s had a lot to answer for) and we have also has all sorts of mess to mop up regularly with OH mother (who turned around to his dad after 27 years and said she wanted out)...and they did divorce. It was a really difficult time. Still is actually and the divorce was 18 years ago.

Is it something to do with regrets and lost youth??

My youth is running away really quickly now (well...has run off actually~) and I don't feel the same way at all. Wonder what's different nowadays?

    Thank you FC123!
No idea what it is about. I wonder whether to worry about it, as !!!!!! happens, frequently for no reason at all. Best thing is just to deal with it when it arises.

Funny you should say that what with snow going up in Aberdeen by 9% this year. Everywhere else in the UK, snow has been coming down.

Funniest thing I've read on here for a bit.:D
It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.

Hello from our winter wonderland to all the Nice People!

We're all nearly over the blasted swine flu now - I'm absolutely shattered, not helped by the fact I had to do some exam marking by yesterday - I've got hundreds more papers awaiting my attention over the hols, so lots more money, but decided to take today absolutely off, so I could recover properly, before ploughing back in.

I've had the most fabulous day, luxuriating, sleeping in, sunshine, snow, and breakfast of profiteroles and crisps.

That is the life. Best morning I've had in months. :)

Including catching up on 5 pages of nice people chat since I last logged in. :)

Does anyone know if Pastures got to her destination OK? Is she in London now, or elsewhere?

Anyone else lost their entire family to Top Gear? (Pulling out own teeth smilie.)

Even my preteen daughters are fans. No idea why.

Oh yes I do. It's Richard Hammond. !!!!!!.

Time to do some marking, methinks.

James May was good when he came down our way with his record attempt on the longest model train journey. He managed to show the local council in a favourable light, emphasising their co-operation, and he completely glossed-over one of the main reasons for his failure; the theft of batteries and sections of track by a few mindless idiots. North Devon retained its dignity.

The other two are typical laddish characters, but I identify with James. In accepting his role as 'Mr Slow,' and getting by with patience and good humour, he provides a good role model for those who find themselves surrounded by loonies, full of dangerous ideas.
