Yep.....feel good, happy....brain melting though  Seriously I'm doing ok....and have the other thing...the pummelling coming up too, then a break for six weeks from that.

I'm usually ok with a list. I did realise about half an hour ago that I was meant to be in Paris today and forgot . :o

HOW in God's name could you forget Paris:eek: I can forget all sorts of things myself - but a pending trip there would be indelibly printed on my brain/my computer screen/my calendar/my undies, etc. I'd even buy a hankie to tie a knot in:D

I used to love making paperchains at Xmas. And we had these old paper chinese lantern style decorations that packed flat and then became lanterns when hung up.

They were a bit like this, but the paper was more crepe-style ... and colours more 1960s/orange/red/pea-green. http://thumb10.shutterstock.com.edgesuite.net/display_pic_with_logo/67628/67628,1175572123,1/stock-photo-trio-of-red-paper-chinese-lanterns-3008428.jpg

I remember those!.... and making the chains from sticky paper at school. They were forever coming apart in lessons & making the teachers ratty.

When I became a teacher, I used to dread the big build-up to Christmas. Others would compete to have the most festive room, and the female teachers always won. My class would be pants at bringing stuff in. Then, I'd find that some far-seeing person had collared all the decent coloured poster paper, leaving only browns, pink and dark blue. In the end., I'd have to put my hand in my pocket and buy a few things....

One year I had a stroke of genius and made the theme of our room 'Fungus The Bogeyman's Christmas' with a huge wall display in drab browns and greens, complete with a dead Christmas tree. No problem finding those colours. I don't think the parents 'got' it, but the kids were well-chuffed.

No snow here yet (not too surprising as we are only about 7 miles from the West coast of Wales) but a frost so hard that everything looks white and sparkly even this early in the night:eek:.

Snow I like, frost I'm not so keen on! It makes for sneaky slippery patches under foot!

Talking of feet! I did something totally irresponsible and daft today. I went into my fav shop in our nearest little town (about 3 miles away and a big village really). It is the "sale" shop of a really expensive clothing and shoe shop and has the last season lines and so forth. Now, on the rail was a pair of shoes! Not any shoes, just a drop dead georgeous pair with 4 inch heels in a lovely shiny fuscia satin! Originally £75 - now just £20 and 25% off today so £15.00! I looked at my friend and she at me and we burst out laughing because I never really go anywhere to wear them, and even if I did my balance is not great and I have trouble moving my legs so I'm not sure I could walk far in them: but I bought them anyway because I was really down and just the sight of them made me feel young and silly again!

I suppose I could, with a strong arm (or a zimmer frame:rolleyes:) make it to the car in them and so long as we could park near the door I might make it into wherever I was going in them. After that I would either have to take them off or sit down - but who cares? They made me feel good, and even a little bit girly and that was worth £15! They will probably end up unworn on eBay - but I could even make a profit!

Rarely do something so "irresponsible" - but I shall wrap them up and put them under the Christmas tree and pretend that someone cared enough to see them and think of me:D

Oh for the days when I would have worked all day in shoes as high as that, and then gone dancing in them all evening:D

All my Xmas trees HAVE to have chocolates hanging on them. The hollow ones, the santas ... xmas choccies on the tree. The reason for this is when I was young I apparently sneaked down when everybody else was asleep and ate ALL the chocolates off the xmas tree, so after that we never had them again. So now, on my tree, every year, they're compulsory!

Moggy, I did this all the time when I was using a chair and sticks. TBH I find it hard now I don't need a stick because I have lost the knack of the choes a bit. wear them to watch tv in, sit with them on your feet while you moisturise your body after a bath. Wear them in bed. Whatever....if they bring you a bit of happiness its worth it.

Legs have two purposes: walking and wearing shoes.;);)

I'll get DS1 to have a go with his camera tomorrow - but can't promise because my puter doesn't like to recognise his phone! If I can find the camera then that might be better because if does recognise the card thingy from that:D

If any of the economists are feet men we can all of us give them a treat...presuming they like swollen ankles, bruised toenails and the beginnings of a bunion I can try to oblige!:rotfl:
