I think I may be the one taking liberties and if I have offended Sue then I really sorry. That is not my intention.

It is probably, not a class thing, the word escapes me...

Anyways, I come from a community that sees to their own. We look for solutions not sympathy.

Sue, I am deadly serious here.

I picked the ebay thing because I thought that was the least painful way forward.

I am open to better suggestions.

OK, Carolt can lend a tent

sue, can the boys camp? I wonder if it would unsettling the younger chaps?

If not...where would you like to go on holiday this year...lets see if we can find somewhere suitable for said tent.

With the best will in the world, would you like to take three disabled boys on holiday in a tent? On your own?

    It just wouldn't work.

We need hard cold cash LIR. That always works.

I thought it was May 6th same as council ? that date has been mentioned twice now.

AFAIK 6th May is still only a suspicion. It's been mentioned lots but not confirmed, probably in case he decides impromptu on an earlier date... if his rising popularity deems it a good idea.

No, I think it would be tough. I'm not sure I'm a tent sort of girl though. Haybarn sure....tent...not so much.

but sue's gone very quiet, and I think we need to know what she wants...

sue, think of wageslave as your fairy godmother....we'll be mice or pumpkins....

We could post the stuff out to Sue for her to ebay. I'd be absolutely fine with that.

Sue, you'd love all our old tat landing on your doorstep, I'm sure. :rotfl:

    (Sorry, wageslave - couldn't resist the thought :o )

I'm butting in before reading all, but just want to say most important thing about a cheap holiday is finding out where the cheap / free thigns to do are. No point finding a cheap site if the only local attractions are really expensive theme parks or zoos.

I can advise of free activities south coast / westcountry, but might be a bit far if you have a loaded down and / or old car (not suggesting you have a crap car ss, just thinking of my own considerations when arranging a holiday) :)

Whatever Sue decides to do, she's entitled to a substantial amount of carers grant even if she takes her children and is still caring whilst she is on holiday.

PM me Sue, if you need any further information.

This is very good advice sue- take the money you're entitled to (sorry, don't want to bully) :A

    We have two ways forward.

We can just donate money straight into Sues paypal or we can go the donate stuff route. I am easy either way.

We would get more with the stuff thing because that is relatively painless. People have an aversion to parting with cash, unwanted stuff is a different matter.

We have a problem. Someone we care about and admire has a problem and as far as I am concerned that makes it ours.

Pick a remedy and include me in
