  • I have just received a phone call from Additions Direct informing that my recent order for CSI box set has been cancelled as it has 'Sold Out'.

They offered me a goodwill gesture of 10% off my next order I said for them to stick it.

I haven't had any emails or phone calls regarding the other box sets I ordered which were:

    Desperate Housewives
    Angel
    Buffy

I asked the person who called me and as yet these have not been cancelled.
  • I've also had an email but I ordered several items from the site and the email doesn't say which were wrongly priced, which have been cancelled etc! Furthermore they took the money from my account two days ago. The email also invites me to go on the site and re-order at the correct prices, but I cannot find any of the boxsest I ordered a CSI, Angel & Dfesperate Housewives on there

I took delivery of The Life Collection this morning. Today is the first day I've been able to access the order tracking too. It states CSI has been cancelled, but all of the other boxsets (I ordered one of each - Christmas gifts, for me, etc) state 'Order Accepted'.

Whatever happens, I'm making sure I pay for each item as soon as it arrives. My account balance still has the CSI amount taken off, so I still have some hope! It'd make a great gift for my mum.

    Hi,
    Got the same email. :(

Had a look at the terms...

3.2 Whilst it is our intention to keep our website up to date and error free, product description or pricing errors may occur. If we discover such an error after you have submitted an order to us, we will contact you prior to accepting your order with the correct details. You may then either cancel your order or re-confirm it based on the correct information. If we are unable to contact you, we will treat your order as cancelled.

Is it worth challenging this if the order was accepted??

I just got the same email. I am going to challenge it on the grounds above. I have a confirmation email, which is surely an acceptance of the order. They are not saying they are out of stock, bu that they are not willing to sell at that price which is not the same.

I too received that email and so have sent them this reply..

    Hello,
I have just received your email cancelling my order as it was priced incorrectly.
It stated: "We are sorry to inform you that this item was incorrectly priced on our website. As a result of this error we have cancelled your order for the item in accordance with clause 3.2 of our website terms and conditions."
However section 3.2 of your terms and conditions states: "3.2 Whilst it is our intention to keep our website up to date and error free, product description or pricing errors may occur. If we discover such an error after you have submitted an order to us, we will contact you prior to accepting your order with the correct details. You may then either cancel your order or re-confirm it based on the correct information. If we are unable to contact you, we will treat your order as cancelled."
My order had been accepted and is still showing in my tracking as accepted and the full amount for this purchase has already been taken from my bank account.
It is now your responsibility to fulfil this order as it has already been accepted and clause 3.2 has no bearing on it.
Please get back to me as soon as you can to confirm that you will fulfil my order.
    Regards,

Just noticed that my partner hasn't had a cancellation email yet, so maybe there is hope for CSI... *fingers crossed*
