to be honest I dont think that I would send her anything - see what the dispute outcome is - most likely she would have to return to you (via trackable service) before a refund

what would you like the outcome to be? would you rather give her some of the money back or get the item back? though I guess if she sends it back she may damage it but I think I would rather have her send it back and incur return postage costs (not that I can be awkward:D)

  • i do feel for you - there really are some buyers out there!

when it's all over, please remember to 'block' them as a future buyer lol:rolleyes:

As you have asked her to go to a dispute rather than just refunding this means you may be best now to let paypal decide.

Personally she sounds a real PITA and I'd do whatever paypal decide now, if they want her to get a full refund then let her send the whole lot back.

  • Thanks again guys! I will do as you've all suggested and wait for the outcome. Ironically, this week I've had feedback on another item i've sold stating that the item was actually BETTER than i'd described!
  • Hope this isn't hijacking if I ask a related question to my similar case.

I've now offered my awkward buyer a full refund of his purchase price and initial postage costs, but he's still expecting a refund without returning the goods to me. I'm a private seller on ebay, don't have a returns policy and he'd claiming SNAD for something so trivial it's ridiculous. He paid by paypal, so I'm presuming this will eventually get to paypal for a decision, and that refund on return will be the final outcome anyway. His latest email is again demanding a refund before he returns - anyone have a link I can email him to explain that that's not how the system works?
Reason for edit? Can spell, can't type!
  • Well, you do have one thing - she sent you photos. So if it come's back worse than that, and it's not obviously damaged in transit, that would be proof that she damaged it further before sending it.

Hi everyone, i'm afraid i still have no outcome to this matter - ebay said they would get back to me with a decision in 48 hours - that was on 28th December?! The case is still open in the resolution centre - i've contacted them about 3 weeks ago but had no reply.
The longer this goes on of course, the longer the car seat and pram are being used by the buyer - is there anything i can do at all?
At this rate, she'll have had use of the travel system for 4 whole months - surely this isn't fair?

If you clearly showed or described any "damage" in the listing then refer ebay to that and be adamant that your listing was as described. There is a reasonable chance that you will win. They don't always side with the buyer if you plead your case well as the seller you know.

Just put in as much detail to support your case as possible.

I have no option to comment on the case now as it has gone to ebay to decide. As I say though, time is ticking and the travel system is being used all this time..?
  • I had a similar buyer
I find it hard to do as well but everyone says:
try and take it as experience and move on.

i hope ebay find in your favour, supply as many details and pictures and include emails and any other contact you have had.
