hi, sorry for the late reply. I dont have the XP installation disc - my ex has it, and i doubt very much he would give it back to me. I only have Windows Vista (came with my laptop) but i dont think the spec on this computer would be able to run Vista?
Does that mean i am stuck? I still cant get on IE, though no problems with Firefox. And at least now i can open word documents etc without getting an 'infected file' message!
Thanks so much for your help - i have resigned myself to putting up with this as is for now, then when i get my laptop back, taking the desktop for a full clean up and possible upgrade - so DD can use it properly.0 -
I take it you down graded to XP from vista then?? Do you have a recovery partition?0
